    Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
    Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future

Hoenn. Ash was simply amazing in Hoenn. x3

I liked Kanto Ash and all...but he still did things that I didn't like...:/

Johto...I guess I thought he was cool but Hoenn was my fave

Sinnoh- He was almost too serious for me there. Hoenn had a nice blend

BW- I just find him boring now. XD;

I liked Ash from both Sinnoh and Hoenn. I enjoyed his personalties in both and they were very similar. :)
Ash was too imature and arrogent for me in the original series.
I like Ash in all series though.

Kanto he was the funniest and interesting to see a rookie.

In Hoenn Ash actually seemed, "cool." Its the only saga where Ash actually seemed like he was a big-shot.

In Sinnoh he was definitely the strongest he ever was, but I felt his personality started becoming too bland. Its a shame really, I missed the humor side of him.


I think BW Ash is the worst because he's been regressed for no reason. Johto Ash was also fairly dull, like a bizarre mix of his Kanto self and what he'd eventually become in AG.

In terms of humor? Kanto by far.

Hoenn Ash was probably the coolest one, and had a good balance of humor/seriousness. Sinnoh Ash felt like the peak of his development, and I liked the fact he was very focused.

It's a tie between Hoenn and Battle Frontier. But I voted in BF, since it seemed to be the character's peak in AG.

I was torn between BF and Hoenn too, as in my mind, they are basically the same. But I went for Hoenn, as he was by far the best mix of humour, strength and seriousness. BF has him totally serious when saving the Sea Temple, but some humor in others.

Oh please! BW Ash is a lot more better because he is not boring are bland anymore,also he seem a lot more like his Kanto cool self.

In DP Ash was bland boring and had no personality,he was just a robot like person with no humor are personality,his Sinnoh team could have been more powerful which they really wasn't.

AG Ash was kinda good because he still had his funny moments like he did in the OS,he had humor and a personality.

Ash in Kanto and Johto was when he was at his bestest and he had a badass personality and he wasn't boring either.

Okay, there are so much things wrong with this post. First of all, bestest is not a word and the second line should read "no humor OR personality. Second, Ash's Sinnoh team was indeed very powerful. Infernape and Pikachu are often argued to be in his Top 5 strongest Pokemon ever. Buizel, Gliscor, Staraptor, Gible and Torterra are also powerhouses with many impressive victories. It's fine if you didn't like DP as a series but the fact you are saying that his Sinnoh team is weak is pretty crazy because his Sinnoh Team got him to the Final 4 which was farther than he ever got before. Out of all his Sinnoh Pokemon, I can't name a weak one in the bunch. And finally, being mature and serious was part of Ash's development and are actually Ash's personality traits. He stood up for what he believed in when it came to training. He cared for his Pokemon. He was determined, competitive, always was ready for new challenges. So I mean, you could have said just said you didn't like Ash because he is wasn't as entertaining or funny in DP. A lot of people thought Ash showed the most growth in DP. So youa re definitely wrong that Ash was a robot and his Sinnoh team was weak.

Honestly, Hoenn was my favorite, my second would have to be sinnoh. Unova for my third, then kanto for forth, and johto for last. Johto ash was bleh.

In Kanto Ash was the coolest character ever,in Johto he was still the coolest and was badass,in Hoenn he became more mature and skillfull as a pokemon trainer,in Sinnoh he did become more mature then ever before and more powerful as a trainer but he was just plain boring and bland,Unova he is cool and full of personality, he also have the best team in the Unova region ....

You are wrong about many things in your post,bestest is a word since i look it up to make sure that it was correct.You are wrong about Ash's Sinnoh team since the only pokemon that were powerhouses on that team were Pikachu ,Buizel,Infernape ,Staraptor and Gliscor, Torterra wasn't a powerhouses since he lost a lot of battles,this team wasn't all that powerful as you are trying to make them seem.It is also an opinion about Ash having growth in the DP series, but he was still boring and bland in the DP series.

I'm trying to remember an instance where Ash showed personality during AG, but I honestly can't think of any such occurrence. All of his cast mates showed more personality than him during that saga; yes, even Brock.

Of course not. Ash tried to pick a fight against Breloom with his bare fists, he yelled at Brock to "Shut Up!" when he lost to Brawly, there's the scenes between him and May or Max at various points, and all the Ash Treecko/Grovyle scenes.

AG Ash was a very nice mix between his old Kanto/Johto self and what he'd eventually become in DP, where he lost a lot of his personality but remained strong.
