• Hi all
Just a notice, we recently discovered that someone got into a moderator account and started hard deleting a load of key and legacy threads...around 150 threads have been lost dating back to 2007 and some weeks ago so we can't roll the forums back.
Luckily no personal data could be accessed by this moderator, and we've altered the permissions so hard deleting isn't possible in the future
Sorry for any inconvenience with this and sorry for any lost posts.

Kanto he was the funniest and interesting to see a rookie.

In Hoenn Ash actually seemed, "cool." Its the only saga where Ash actually seemed like he was a big-shot.

In Sinnoh he was definitely the strongest he ever was, but I felt his personality started becoming too bland. Its a shame really, I missed the humor side of him.

I think BW Ash is the worst because he's been regressed for no reason. Johto Ash was also fairly dull, like a bizarre mix of his Kanto self and what he'd eventually become in AG.

Losing ONLY one Gym battle in a completely foreign environment is NOT regression.

Easy and obvious choice: Sinnoh

1) His dream is to become a Pokemon master. That requires strength, creativity, and the heart to win it all. In Sinnoh, Ash assembled arguably his best regional team yet. It was also nice to see the dude actually improvise a lot in his matches and adapt more strategies, instead of simply using speed and pure power to beat opponents. And in this arc, he showed more heart than in any other regional travel he had; by having a just-as-good (if not better) rival who kept wiping the floor with him, super tough Gym leaders, and a deeply sinister Team Galactic, his determination and good-spirited nature was never emphasized more.

2) Personality is such a subjective manner. But for me, what matters is that in Sinnoh he showed his most completely mature side yet. Being in more tough battles, near-death situations, and filler-episode troubles generally made him a lot smarter compared to his previous travels.

Sorry but i agree with Cyber. This isn't the full potential Ash that i wanted to get but instead some water down version that wants to appeal to new fans and yet some of things he continues to do is just sad. It makes me want a new character if they are not going to change anything.

yes I'm back
Hoenn. He was the best during that arc! Plus I loved his clothes the best in Hoenn. Sinnoh is a close second, and then Kanto because he was funny with his inexperienced ways :p I'm not a big fan of Unova Ash, though. Why did they have to change his eyes? Why?
