    Which generation do you prefer NOT based on the games, but BASED on the following parameters:

    =Variety in appearance
    =Variety in Types
    =Variety in Evolution
    =Strength and Exp. type

    =Variety in appearance: Gen I, of course. The generation that got more monsters instead of colorful animals.
    =Variety in Types: Gen III. Types combination that we could never expect were brought out.
    =Variety in Evolution: Gen IV, because of making evo and pre evo for Pokémons for all the previous generations.
    =Strength and Exp. type: Hard to say about this as I don't pay much attention. For strength it would be Gen III.

    I have the most love for the 3rd generation because that is the series of games I started with, and I love a lot of the pokemon from there, especially the torchic and mudkip lines.

    The actual Pokemon? Gen 3

    The games? Gen 4.

    Gen 3 all the way! The appearance of the Pokemon is best.
    Gen 4 comes next. The evo lines are good, especially the pre-evos that were introduced.
    Gen 2 is 3rd. It introduced one of my favourite types very nicely - Dark Type.
    Then theres Gen 5. I like the mascots strength and structure (Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem) the best out of all the other legendary mascots from other games.
    I cant really say anything about Gen 1, for ive never really played any Gen 1 games, however I like their monster-like appearances and how they werent low out of ideas, being the first Pokemons.

    Generation III is the best. Best Pokemon, best plotline, best games. Period. Forget the haters.

    I find the most preference in Gen V. From the story-line to the Pokemon themselves.
    Since type combinations was brought up in the fist post...
    * Scrafty - Dark/Fighting
    * Chandelure - Ghost/Fire

    I still think Braviary should have been Flying/Fighting, but whatever. That's not the case.

    So either way, fifth Gen.

    Gen 5! All my favorite Pokemon, many favorite Places, and most importantly because of Cilan (in the anime)

    =Variety in appearance - Gen 4 & 5 - most of my favorite Pokemon where introduced
    =Variety in Types - Gen 5
    =Variety in Evolution - Gen 5
    =Strength and Exp. type - gen 5 & hoping for gen 6 (I really want a water-fighting type)

    xXCobalionXx Cobalion. Yeah.

    Well I began my pokemon journey in the Hoenn region, so R/S (Not emerald, it seems way too different of a story) will always have a special place in my heart.
    =Variety in appearance: Generation 1. I like counting the individual pixels!
    =Variety in Types: Generation 3. I think that there were great differences in the game that others didn't have.
    =Variety in Evolution: Generation 4. Pre-evos and LOTS of new pokemon.
    =Strength and Exp. type: Generation 5. Exp really changed with storyline lucky eggs.
    Sorry generation 2, but you never saved for me. Crystal even BROKE! Even my pokemon Yellow still saves to this day! ^_^
    Tip: never solder a video game. :)

    I put my vote on 6th Gen. But apparently there no poll for that.

    When Gen 6 comes out it will probably be my fav. My fav so far is fifth gen,2nd gen and 4th gen. Kanto is okay and I like it but well..... people calling it "CLASSIC" and hating unova and all that makes me sick and sometimes avoid kanto. I'm not really a big fan of Hoenn.
