sandslash or Nidoking.
S.Slash's attack and defense (base&max) are higher than Nidoking's
But N.king's sp.def&sp.attk are higher, but shouldn't ev trainind make sandslash somewhat superior?

If you EV train sandslash, yeah it would be better. But then again, it depends on their movesets and IVs.

Nidoking = cooler, get it at Nidorino a good lvl to evolve before Vermillion gym (best lvl is 20-22 so you have double kick) and all evolved


its a really strong type and can learn surf if you dont like water pokemon lal around good id say

if you want a straight ground type, sandslash is nice, but nidoking's specials are great for throwing on an ice beam or something like that.

This belongs in Pokepolls. Anyway, Sandslash with its natural moveset can easily KO Nidoking with its natural moveset, so I pick Sandslash. Poison is only super-effective against one type and has two VERY overused weaknesses.

Nidoking is a part Ground type!!! Famous for earthquake! He needs more Physical stats!!!

Same here. Never have, never will. Only I would say Sandslash. I don't know why. Maybe I just don't like normal Pokemon especially those ones? Maybe if he had a type with some cooler colors or even was a legend he would be one of my favorites.

Nidoking may have a better moveset, but sandslash has the better attack power. And why would you EV train Nidoking for special attacks when it would be mediocre compared to its own attack power? And even then that attack would be mediocre towards sandslash, who can have a somewhat similar moveset just without poison point. If it was my choice, I would choose nidoking, just because I like it more tahn sandslash, but in all honesty it's your choice depending on whether you like better attack, or more moves.

Okay, for the last time:
Sandslash-better stats in att. and def, bad moveset
Nidoking-better stats in sp.att, sp.def, and speed, plus great moveset
I'd choose Nidoking, but I wouldn't rely on his sp.att. It is higher than other ground types, but it still sucks. Being one of the faster groung types it can outrun some of it's weaknesses (like Slowbro) and pwn them with appropriate moves (in Slowbro's case - Megahorn).
