Which is the best Nintendo Franchise in your opinion?

Which in your opinion is the best Nintendo franchise that they ever came up with? I won't post mine till later when I think it's the right time.

Normally I would have said Metroid or Pokemon, but I've been watching Super Mario Galaxy videos and that game, IMO, seems like one of the best on Wii, or of the Mario franchise for that matter.

And even if I hated Mario, Pokemon can't compare to the popularity, and game sales, that Mario and freinds have had over their 20 years. He's a video game tyrant.

If it wasn't for Mario, Nintendo might not be as popular as they are today.

Although I give props to Pokemon for getting the Gameboy the support it needed to live on. ^_^

Zelda is actually the most voted in these kind of polls for special events (like top 200 games). Actually I think Pokemon came in 4/5 on the poll, beat Kirby, but last against Zelda, Mario, and Kirby I think. Probably because RPG has the biggest anti-type group. Pokemon is accepted by a lot of those folks actually because it is different.

I think it's probally a three-way tie between Mario, Zelda, and Pokemon. All are definitely huge hits and the characters are basically immortal (meaning they're going to last forever). Next would probally be either Starfox or Metroid.

Zelda all the way. I love everything about it. It breaks the mold in some way every time(origianl had battery save, second was side scrolling, Oot was 3D, etc, etc, etc), and you can always find some minigame after you think you've done everything. Also, cool weapons, fun, memorable boss battles, and overall great gameplay.
