Which of Ash's travel companions got the most character development?

brock was a lot less mature with his nurse joy rants in season 1
and no hes taller and is less like u kno anime hyper active

1- as you saidfrom no interest in Pokemon to interest in pokemon)
2- she got the best rivals in her Journey.
3- she is the only charachter almost did achieve her goal.
4- her pokemon got an awesome developments, ex: her weakest pokemon in the world ;255; became now a powerhouse ;257; .

She didn't really get much development. Just from tsundere,to mommy to gym leader..^^;

May..She had a lot of development.

Dawn..I have to say she has the most development.

I voted for all three Misty May and Dawn. I love all three. Misty was a hot-head, a funny one, but mellowed out once she became a gym leader! May gained excellent battle skills and owned in contests and her rivals were awesome. Dawn was over confident and half stepped in her contest abilities, but then graced contest battles and is gradually still learning! Love all three girls!

Haruka, she had loads of development.

I really enjoyed how she was in the beginning AG episodes, where she was so lazy, uninterested in Pokemon and everything, and just complained about everything. She turned into a totally different character in BF.

It's very weird looking back at older AG episodes and seeing Haruka as she was. And then how she became to love Pokemon and became more interested in many things and actually cared.

This is a difficult question. Let's see:-
First Brock. In the beginning episodes, he seemed like a force to be reckoned with, and someone who can't be beaten by any more than an avergae trainer. However in the next few episodes, it was evident about his problem .Anyway he has come a long way, and has been a dependant guy. He knows a lot about poke'mon and computers(as shown in the Bat episodes if you what I mean).
Next Misty was pretty good. She was just a water type trainer who went on to become a wate type gym leader. In the chronicles, it was shown how she passed the tests set for her, and how she became a true gym leader. As for character, she could be irritating sometimes, and her fear for bug also is a minor point(even if it is meant to be a comic relief).
Next Tracey. In terms of achievement, he is at the top. You might be asking why, but from an ordinary(but talented) poke'mon watcher he became the assistant of one of the most famous and most knowlegeable person in the poke'mon universe, and that is a real big deal. However due to Tracey's limited screen time, his character development is not too much.
For May, she was just a girl who didn't even like poke'mon but turned out to become a confident co-ordinator defeating a person like Drew, and ending in top 4 of a GF.
Max was also pain in the neck(no offense). He knew about poke'mon and loved them from the beggining, but hasn't shown much character development apart from dragging Brock away from Nurse Joys and Officer Jennys. However he has shown great potential when he saved Raltz and evolved Mighteyana etc.
As for Dawn, she used to lose every time. However there was always the pressure of living upto the family name. But she soon got over that, and managed to beat even May(I can't figure how) to win the Wallace Cup.

All listed characters received character development,but its hard to say who got the most.
- May received a big character development turning from girl not being interested in pokemon in strong and mature person ended liking them along with improving her skills in battle and contests dramatically.
-In Mistys case she get big character development aswell starting as short tempered girl exploding over every little thing into more mature and responsible person.Her position of becoming gym leader and development in chronicles was cool and everything but it was more a sign of her strenght and independabillity than anything else.Especially when we take into consideration how she became one only out of obligation,with no choice of leaving it with her irresponsible sisters.Her current position is more somekind of job.Afterall her dream and goal is to become water pokemon master,but sadly she has no chance to make further progress with current position being stuck at the gym.
-Brock received some character development but in my opinion not so much like above characters.
-Max,not so much aswell.
-Traceys case is delicate and while he didnt received too much development,he is the only character for who we can say he achieved his dream by becoming prof.Oak assistant or comed close to it.
-Dawn received a lot of development aswell,by gaining her coinfidence back winning against May and starting to improve herself as coordinator.

It was hard to do,but in the end after taking into account all things i voted for May.It seems she get the most development,while in Mistys case writers didnt do enough leaving a lot of potential unused.

May became really experienced from a little girl who wanted the traveling

I'd say May got the best. I mean she was once hated Pokemon, only wanted to go around the world to travel. She wasn't even sure if she wanted to do gyms or contests yet. But she stuck with contests and got so good in contests, she did have really cool rivals two.

Tracy I'd say would be 2, he at least got his goal.

Misty, I'm not sure if you'd say she had character development. I mean she's still stuck at the gym, sure she's gotten over her feelings for Ash *Runs from Pokeshippers* {Debatable of course} *Comes out of hiding*
But she still hasn't really improved much in skills and is just stuck at that gym being run down by her sisters. {Poor, poor Misty}

Dawn, well I guess you could say has devleopment, she has seemed to gotten better at contests and is confident now.

I'm not sure about Brock or Max. Brock still chases after Nurse Joys and girls more than ever. I guess you could say he's improving over his breeding skills. Max we don't see him, so we don't know. He says he wants to be a trainer like Ash, I guess that's some thing. Gave him some thing to look forward to in life at the end of his journey with Ash.

I voted for May as not liking pokemon to doing something where you have to love your pokemon to show of there moves is a huge step.

I voted for Misty, May and Dawn. Misty got lots of development with her Water-type obsession and lots of Pokémon Chronicles episodes. May went from being a nervous wreck and Pokémon-hater to a Top Co-ordinator and the 'Princess of Hoenn'. Dawn was really overconfident and then she had her losing streak and then she had her winning streak. I think it shows us how Dawn's confidence really gets the better of her.
