DBZ is my favorite because its the series that I saw the most of out of the three. Next would probally be DBGT. But for DB, it never really did anything for me.

DB was a little too raunchy at the time I was hooked on those series, so I didn't watch it as much in fear that my mom would come in and watch portions of it with me(as she used to do every now and then) and she wouldn't let me change the channel. GT was...? Bleh? Gahck? Something along those lines.
I like DBZ because of the over-exaggerated action and muscles. One of the things that I hated about it was that they wasted like, in total, 6 full episodes on scenery and such. x.x;

I honestly love all three equally. They each have a certain charm to them that makes me like them (even though GT destroys continuity several times).

My only problem was the amount of awful fillers in Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. o_O;

Dragonball: A very good series. It was enjoyable to watch and, besides, its the original. I liked it.

Dragonball Z: This was my favorite. It had good fights, good stories, and generally good voice acting. Twas a great series. I remember sittin around my house in grade school thinking, "Only two hours until Goku finally turns Super Saiyan against Frieza!!" XP.

Dragonball GT: Ugh, this stupid add-on put the series to shame. It wasn't good at all. The appeal was high with features such as Super Saiyajin 4 and finally getting to see Pan as a major character and such. But it was disappointing when it came down to it. PLOT HOLES, MUCH?

Yeah, ok!
Loved DBZ, Dragonball was quite good as well although parts of the Red Ribbon arc were pretty boring.

I honestly tried to like GT, and I did enjoy some parts of it, but it was just too awful as a whole.

The whole beginning was horrible, the middle was lackluster, and the end was decent...nothing even remotely above average. Plus, all the characters were so screwed up it wasn't funny. Characters were also painfully underused, (Bra, Maron, Goten and Uub come to mind)

Ugh, they really should have focused on the new, younger generation instead of shoving kid Goku down our throats. The ideal GT cast should have been Trunks, Goten, Pan, Bra and Uub. Four humans with Saiyan blood in them plus Uub, that would have rocked!

Dragon Ball Z is the best^^. Better action and more fighting. Dragon Ball is really funny to watch^^. Dragon Ball GT is alright but alitte over dramaic. But I do love there music.

If anything, Oob and Kaioshin were the most of underused and tossed aside. Oob even gets an awesome new transformation and for what? Distracting Baby.

Kaioshin, however, we NEVER see fight at all. He gets beaten up by Majin Boo, helps Gohan and then watches on from his planet as Boo causes destruction. He even fuses with Kibit and does nothing other than teleport around. :\

Of the three, Dragon Ball Z is my favorite. However, that is a bias answer since I've read the entire Z story in manga, but I watched some of GT and read some of Dragon Ball. Even though I haven't watched GT, I did like how it ended the Dragon Ball anime series, and I also liked the concept of there being consequences for overusing the dragon balls.

I like the first DB best because my favourite characters actual DID something and weren´t canonfooder or useless backgroundcharacters.

The Storyltelling was much better in Dragon Ball and it was actually funny ( most gags in Z were reduced to Muten Roshi).

Toriyamas art was much better in DB ( characters, even some female became so edgy after Freezer...the GT art is the worst imo)

There were some terrible fillers in DB as well, but in my opinion they weren´t not so out of place as the ones in Z ( the driver license episode is an execption ^^ )

I really liked the Sajajin saga but after vegeta left it became too boring to me, the whole Super Sayan theme in Z after Freezer got on my nerves and took away too much spotlight from weaker characters. The cell saga was nice again, but the Boo one just sucked.

I can´t judge GT because it hasn´t aired yet in germany.

So I voted for DB.

GT never aired in Germany? o_O That's rather odd, considering the rest of the world saw all of Dragon Ball (DB/Z/GT) waaaay before the US ever finished.

Yeah, it´s a strange situation.

A semi-big broadcast aired DBZ in a slot which is very uncommon for animes in germany , 7.:30 PM ( they air detective conan at 3 PM and ranma 1/2 at 1:30 PM in the kids block), taking a high risk to recieve bad ratings.

But DBZ had pretty good ratings and they decided to air 2 episodes a day (monday-friday) which concurred with the simpsons and had quite good ratings.

When DBZ ended they aired reruns which lost lots of viewers and DBZ disappeared from "pre-prime time" and was handeled as the ******* child of the channel.
DB GT was announced, rumors said it was even in the dub works, but it was never aired.

Very strange because we even got "new dr. slump"...

The german dub was pretty good ( jonny depp dub voice as picollo and so on) and I was really looking forward to GT after hearing it has less fillers as Z and is much faster, but I´ll guess chances that GT will every air in germany are pretty small.

You aren't missing much. GT was a pretty awful series, IMO. The Shadow Dragons were, for the most part, really stupid. Only Nova Shenron and Omega Shenron were cool. And they were both defeated far too quickly and easily (which didn't follow the trend of major DB/DBZ villains at all). They beat one of the dragons because it started raining which shorted out the dragon's electricity! That's sad...

I like DBZ the best. DBGT is a meh, considering that Akira Toriyama did not make DBGT. Each sagas in DBGT are very short (I think the max episodes are like 50-62, don't remember).
DBZ is the best when each sagas are very long (Saiyan, Frieza, Andriods, Cell, Majin Buu, Fusion, and Kid Buu). I own the majority of World Tournament to Kid Buu on VHS.
DB is okay for me, because this serie is more of kiddies and teenagers.
