which old pokémon is most likely to be "re-invented" in the 5th generation?

Pinsir- It needs an evo. How can its partner Scyther get one and not him? It could be of the Bug/Dark type which I don't think has been out yet.

Smeargle- It's been really ignored recently. They've been extremely rare ever since GSC. I think it should have more of a role. No evo though.

Qwilfish- I just remembered what this Pokemon was after playing XD. I forgot all about it. I think it could use an evo, maybe a giant pufferfish, and be better then Tentacool/cruel in the Water/Poison area.

Stantler- It could use a evo, maybe Normal/Psychic or just a Psychic evo. This is another Pokemon that just people forget about.

Cubone and Marowak- They really should get an evo. They have great potential. Also, has there really ever been a 3rd level Ground type? (not dual, looking at Garchomp and Flygon).

Houndour and Houndoom- Either give them an evo or more moves. They also have great potential but they learn moves so slowly and eventually lose their usability.

Lastly, WE NEED MORE FIRE TYPES!!! ;257;

Bannette and Shuppet should see more play then they do. Sure, it was in Gen 3, but it's stats and moves were kinda in an arguement and decided not to work together well, so Dusclops was mainly used over it. And itr was only available towards the end of the game, where it wouldn't see much use. THEN, to top things off, it's pair, Dusclops, gets an evolution that is now in the higher ups in the competetive enviroment, while poor Bannette is left behind. Sure, the split DID infact help it- there are more phsyical moves, plus phsyical ghjost moves, on it's move list(iirc), but Dusknoir overshadowed(excuse the pun) it. And it was only available after E4, which jsut doesn't help anyone.

SO. We need to get this pokemon mainstream. Let's expand it's usefullness-give it more moves that it can take advantage of, give it a nice stat boost with an Evolution(maybe a stat-rival to Dusknoir)-It oculd use some defense, HP, and speed, and the attack boost(it's most prominent of the two offensive stats) would help it, along with teh inevitable move-pool icnrease. ALSO, let's make it a more common pokemon, well, it's pre-evolution anyways. I wouldn't mind seeing Shupput at night with in teh first 3/4 routes. Gastly did it, and so did Misdreavous(and Murkrow, but he isn't Ghost). That way, more people would be inclined to catch. ESPECIALLY if there is an early Psychic leader.

i would love there to be a Banette evo... Banette so far is my only shiny pokemon (thats worth mentioning anyway... the other is a Pelipper -_-) but its too frail for me to use too much. i would like it to get a second type though. a lot of ghosts utilize WoW but there has never been a Fire/Ghost. *winkwinknudgenudge*

Ledyba, Ledian
Spinarak, Ariados

Add those into the next game, making them version exclusives like in GSC. They're near impossible to get elsewhere! Ariados isn't great, nor is Ledian apart from its better movepool

But they ought to at least make a return as the early bug types. FAR more interesting than the abominable Wurmple.

Dunsparce would be in my team if he had an evo.

Banette was destroyed by Mismagius. That biatch!!

How is that? Banette is a physical attcker while Mismagius is specially-inclined.

Anyway, I'm still wondering why certain pokemon should get Evos because their counterparts gained ones. I kinda like it that the game designers don't stick to traditional counterparts that closely. They tend to change it with the next set if one of the pair deserves it.

Also, why should everything that "deserves an evolution" become a dual type? especially when there isn't enough of that pure type to begin with? Alot of those dual type ideas could be easily be given to completely new pokemon... (Then again, look at Froslass.)

Boohoo. Most of my ideas are quite plausible thank you very much.

But this isn't a "post your evolutions" thread.

Rotom needs to be brought back, as well. Mostly it has only status-affecting attacks, and could use a better moveset. The types are great with the Levitate ability. A better movepool to utilize the advantage it has without Ground-Types hitting it.

Luvdisc is ignored too much. give it an evo at least.

Smeargle is fine imo, they already gave it Sketch making it very unique aswell as useful for breeding.

I think a delcatty evo would be nice or maybe a mawile/sableye evo and sandslash/ekans evo

but some pokemon that really need to come back are dunsparce, qwilfish, stantler, dellibird, corsola, and snubble

I agree on what's bold, also for Marowak evo, Ground/Ghost sounds cool.

Pokemon i want to see more mainstream:

Ariados: I really want to use it but it is pretty unusable (give it an evo for pitty sake) and make it version eclusive.

Pinsir: I prefer Pinsir to Heracross but Hera is more useable so Pinsir either needs a revised movepool or an evo or both lol.

Stantler: I LOVE THIS GUY except he sucks battle wise :( make him more common and give him an evo and better movepool.

Granbull: What a menacing looking Pokemon give it evo and dual type Normal/Dark or Normal/Fighting (dog fight lol they did it with Blaziken as a **** fight) also make it more common.
