Which starter did you choose?

I picked squirtle because it's my second favorite poke. I always seem to pick the water starter, they're just very appealing to me.

I searched for a thread like this and didn't find anything. So I'm sorry if this thread has already been made.

I think this thread would actually have been more worthwhile if it were for all starters in general by game and if it were in Pokepolls. Nonetheless, my answer is Squirtle for LeafGreen and Bulbasaur for FireRed.

Bulbasaur, i didnt use him much but he was the best for he first few gyms.

But from now on, I just choose Squirtle. Favorite Starter and the best to breeze through the game.

I started with Balbusaur, traded, starting with Charmander, and taded for the Balbusaur. So I could have Suicune.

That's true, but I focused the topic on FR/LG because of curiousity and research.

Charizard for FR(absolute only reason was for Breeding purposes; it was Female and Adamant. However, I found that it lost so often that I had to use a Pikachu as my main Pokémon, because Charizard had too many common weaknesses and rubbish Defenses to cope with 'em), and Blastoise for LG(though I do rather enjoy using it, unlike 'Zard).

Bulbasaur. It is my favorite out of all starters. I am probably going to start getting Charmander or Squirtle, because Suicune\Raikou rock unlike Entei.

I choosed Bulbasaur. I turned out to be male, so when I beat the game, and got to breed my Venusaur, and the egg hatched into a female, which I gave it to my friend.

Cyndaquil is my favorite to, in my firered I completed the game three times each with a different starter but i think i found bulbasuar to be the most useful.

I picked squirtle only because he is a water type and blastoise is great.My favourite all time starter is totodile.he rules the starters!

I picked charmander the first time through ONLY because I wanted Suicune, even thouch CHARIZARD SUCKS A** (It's WAAAAY too overrated). Atfer that, I got Bulbasaur. LV.100 Venusaur Rocks!!!

I nevr get the water starter for the simple fact the there is over 80 Water Types. It's not that I don't like them, It's just their type is very common. Actually, now that I think of it, Charizard is the only Starter I truly hate.

I picked Charmander in FR because Charmander is my absolute favorite Pokemon.
In LG, I started with Squirtle because I asked my boyfriend "Which one should I pick", and he said Squirtle.

I picked Charmander because Charizard can learn fly and I didn't want to have to use a flying type because I had other Pokes in mind.

I chose Charmander (ヒトカゲ!!) because it's my FireRed game, and I usually pick starters corresponding to what version of game I'm playing. On LeafGreen, I'll start with Squirtle and trade it to FireRed, then start my real game with Bulbasaur.

I havn't evolved Charmander yet. Because I want him to learn FlameThrower first. I plan to breed him and get a Charmeleon for my Emerald game. That is when I get my Emerald game. And it's going to be and STAY a Charmeleon!! No evolving.

My friend started out with bulbasaur and whenever we fight we both use our starters in the beginning. Level 90 blastoise and venusaur going head to head is an awesome sight. I usually win though because blizzard knocks out his venusaur before he can hit me twice with a grass move.
