This was a pretty good episode. The concept of stones in the wind causing evolution was a unique concept. Team Rocket was pretty funny here. There was also a warm, happy, lovey-dovey lesson at the end. Whee.

Oy, if there's any episode that qualifies as a "filler", it's this one. It's hard to tell which one is more boring- this episode or the ones with the hoppips (not "Unfair Weather Friends" like I said earlier, that was awesome). The episode did have a few good moments, like Meowth putting his translating skills to work, the ultra-cute bellossoms, Team Rocket going over the machines that they would have used, and Wobbuffet getting pulled into battle by a bellossom, but otherwise the episode isn't all that great.

Best quote of this episode, undoubtedly:

Brock: "I didn't know Meowth knew what an identity crisis was."

XD The dub was actually funny WHOAMG.

Well, despite the blatant fact that it was a filler, this episode was OK.

Steven was kind of meh as a character and in terms of design, and his voice got to me after a while >_>

The winds changing a lot in the storm was quite predictable. I would actually have liked to see one side dominate over the other. Who'd have thought that would happen? But of course, everything has to be fair...

The Oddish were rather cute. We don't really see Oddish with a decent role too often, so w00t to that.

This si the first time in a long time I've heard Bayleef's dub voice. Annoyingly high-pitched at first, but I got used to it.

Bellossom pulling Wobbuffet into battle=LOL on a stick. Poor Wobby. He gets abused so much.

Has anyone else noticed the steadily improving animation? The animation here could be mistaken for AG at first glance, IMO.

Not bad, not good. I'm starting to reconsider my previously negative opinion of Johto......Then again, I am quite easily satisfied, so I guess my acceptance of Johto is a given =/

Of all the filler episodes, I say this one's the worst. It really isn't necessary, since we already had a Belossom episode. By the way, wobbanut, I think the Hoppip episode was better, considering the tornado, but that was about it.

The Big Al

I just keeping Octo
I remember when we picked this one apart once. Considering Pikachu got more radiation from smacking the Thunderstone in "Electric Shock Showdown" than these Pokemon, he should be a Raichu by now.

It was bad. Granted Vileplume and Bellossom have a following but they should have at least gotten a better written episode than this.

Yeah, this was a pretty bad episode. I used to like it when it first came out, but then I saw a rerun of it, and I couldn't stand it. At least this episode explained how Pokemon evolve without evolution stones (like in The March of the Exeggutor Squad).

This is one of the worst fillers ever. Right up there with 'Xatu the Future'

A nice filler, nothing like a little gender bending Pokemon style to spice things up. Interesting concept with the Gloom evolving due to stone particles, i'm surprised they never readdressed it in other episodes.

I loved this episode. Grass Pokemon are the best! I loved Bellossom and Vileplume in this episode. However, I did not like seeing them fighting each other. I liked how they made another reference to Salvea Weed which cures Stun Spore. I felt bad for the Vileplume and Bellossom who did not want to evolve into who they did. I never thought about that a Pokemon might have a certain Pokemon they want to evolve into. I thought that the wind was very interesting. I wonder what happens when the wind blows a different direction like southwest or southwest. Probably nothing I guess. I am glad that the fighting finally ceased in the end.

Team Rocket remembers sowvao weed(Don't know how that spell) from one of the orange episodes! :D
Vileplume and Bellossom are annoying! XD Thay kept b**ch fighting.
This episode more amazing about the weather just like in the Xatu episode!
I like this kind of episode! :)

Let's go to the beach, each.
Now this is what I call a filler episode right here. I wasn't really impressed with the events in this episode at all but I suppose that, after the Gym battle, they had to add something that was sort of boring. Yes there was an interesting rivalry between Vileplume and Bellossom, but we see these sort of things way too often for them to be original or fun. The only interesting part of this episode was the explaination of branch evolution and the method in which the Gloom evolved in that area. Apparently, if the North West Wind blew past, the Gloom would evolve into Bellossom and if the North East Wind blew past, the Gloom would evolve into Vileplume. That was probably all I really picked up in this episode. It was just sort of a copy of the events from that Bulbasaur episode so I didn't enjoy this. 2/10.

This episode was ok... I usually like all evolution episodes, but this 1 not so much. The way the direction the wind was blowing decided what the Gloom evolved into just didn't make any sense to me, I wish they didn't use this concept. I do like that Meowth did get to use his translating skills again.
