Namazun swallowing Suzumura's Master Ball now seems ridiculous since I remember Gonbe swallowing a Monster Ball and being captured by it at the same time. Suzumura ended up being the laughing stock of this episode, which is a shame.

Yeah. I never quite understood that one either. Every type of Poké Ball will surround Pokémon intended to be captured in pure light before sucking them in after any type of contact (i.e. Psyduck just placing its head on the empty Pokéball Misty dropped), right? So Nero swallowing the Master Ball means it made contact with its mouth and should have proceeded to go through the capturing motions.
