The best soccer manga out by far. Started at about the same time as the 1998 World Cup; Sho Kazamatsuri's journey toward making it to the J-league starts at Josui Junior High as a 2nd year student. Each soccer match advances the storyline well, and just keeps getting better and better with excellent action and detail.
One of my favorite parts of the manga is the love "triangle" that involves Sho(who's oblivious to the whole thing), Santa, and Koyuki (who practically ignores Santa in favor of Sho). ^^'
The 12th volume just came out in the US.
