Who do you Want to leave the Main Cast Most?

Which character would you like to see leave the main cast next season? I choose Team Rocket because they are the most repetitive people on this planet (especially their motto). The show needs new villains, which won't appear every episode.
Out of the main heroes I'd pick Max, because he doesn't do anything and hes annoying. Brock would be second, because even though hes a good character, hes repetitve also and hes been around almost as long as Ash.

And Ash has the best team in the anime, and they'll never replace the guy named after the creator of Pokemon.

Yeah but after the BF ends, May and Max will have stayed on the show for the length of Hoenn and the Battle Frontier combined. And that goes double for Brock since hes been in Johto also. And Ash and Team Rocket have been here since the beginning. So I'd like to see some change.

Nobody should leave. The main cast is fine as it is. The writers should rather concentrate on what the characters should do instead of who the group consists of.

And TR has saved a lot of episodes from getting labeled as horrible, so they shouldn't go either.

I have to vote for Team Rocket. They're played out at this point. Having them show up every episode, get trounced with little effort every episode, and "blast off again!" every episode got old...oh, about 5 years ago. As comedic villains, by this point they fail on both counts. Unless the writers introduce some variety to Team Rocket's role in the series (which of course they won't), the really have no point anymore.

The point of this thread is to discuss what characters should leave and why. Just because you find it pointless doesn't mean it shouldn't exist. ._.

Hopefully people will be smart and not just say characters they hate.

I personally have to say Brock. It's been a long time since he's done something useful... and no, catching Bonsly doesn't count as being useful. It counts as bringing an evil force into the anime.

Brock is my favourite character yet I think he should leave soon. He has lived through his good times and now it is time for his journey to come to an end.

Ash isn't going to leave, obviously. May may do eventually but I hope she doesn't. As much as Max does nothing, I get this feeling that soon they can build on his character so that he does more.
As for Team Rocket, they ain't leaving. No way. They're the second most appearing people (to Ash, obviously) and that will influence them more to stay.

Brock. Do I think he's a great character? Yes. Do I think he's overstayed his welcome? Yes.

Seriously, besides Ash and Team Rocket, Brock has been in more episodes of the Pokemon anime than any of the other characters. That, and we've seen him for 3 regions in a row, (Johto, Hoenn, New Kanto).

I would have hoped that AG would revive his character, but he's only been pushed further and further in the backround as the show went on.

Brock's original purpose on the show was to be Ash's best friend who he could rely on for support and battle techniques. In AG, Ash has surpassed Brock. He no longer needs his guidance. Ash himself has moved into Brock's position with May, as she is now the newbie who learns from Ash. This puts Brock in an awkward position, as Ash no longer relies on him for battling, and May gets her advice and battle techniques from Ash rather than him.

Nowadays Brock is only here to keep the groups stomachs full, flirt with girls, and to give the occassional help against Team Rocket when they need it.

Not only that, but Brock has been here so long that the writers have done just about everything they could with him. There's literally only so much you can do with a character like him, and quite frankly, they've already done pretty much everthing. Bonsly is an attempt to make Brock a "parental" figure, which is fine, but I don't see him changing that much because of it.

Seriously for the D/P region, give Brock a rest. He's been a non-factor in almost all of AG, and Ash/May can carry on without him. Brock is a great character, but his purpose on the show has dwindled more and more as time went on.

I agree with Alfonso and Cybercubed, Brock has got to go. There really is no point for him anymore besides being a cook [and if I recall correctly, the Pokemon Center gives out free food].

Plus, with Bonsly being Brock's Togepi, he may just be shaping up to take the "Misty Path". [lol...Kingdom of Sudowoodo ]

If he does go, I hope he is replaced by either one of the new D/P Trainers [if they're attractrive that is], or the Fr/Lg Girl *hot*

How many people seriously thought Misty would leave, before it was announced that she was leaving? The fact is, the only person whose spot in the cast is truly safe is Ash.

That's because Misty is/was a supporting character. The starring characters of the show (for the first 5 seasons) were Ash and Pikachu.

Supporting characters on this show come and go, they're not meant to last forever.

If I had to pick someone, probably Brock. I love the guy and all, but he's really been on for far too long and not doing much when it comes down to it. Brock should have left and not come back except for a couple of episodes in GCYL like Misty and Tracey.

For me, it was a toss up between Brock and Team Rocket. Brock, for the reasons that CyberCubed and Alfonso mentioned. In the end, though, I voted for Team Rocket because, even though Brock has been used up, mostly, they can still have him pursue his dream of becoming a pokemon breeder. Team Rocket, JJ&M, not the real TR, however are becoming incredibly annoying. They always get defeated so easily and they try to be evil, but can't seem to be truly evil. They either must choose between good and evil, or leave immediately.

The sad truth is that the chances of Team Rocket leaving are only a little bit more than the chances of Ash leaving. I just wish they'd cut down their sceentime.

May has a bigger role than Brock, Max, and TR, but she's still secondary to Ash. Most of the time, her Contests seem like an afterthought to the story. Something that that the group stops for because they're conveniently located between the Gyms that Ash visits.
