Who here has been a fan of the series since Kanto and is finally departing after all these years?

we get it mr. mature, you're a big guy now. we dont need to read it over and over.
if you were really that grown up you'd step off your pedestal and leave quietly

edit: you literally still post about the games lol
Games =/= anime, at least in games I create my own character and it's "me". lol. I never wanted you to read over and over. I had to repeat myself because people keep asking me.Use some logic.
I will leave PAD after actual anime is done which is the end of March. Fact is not only me will leave but dozens of older fans. PAD sub is cancer anyway.

Obviously I disagree with it and the mentality of it in general, but I feel it's being stretched out for no reason and dude is getting flamed unnecessarily
thats not really what's happening here. there's a difference between getting worked/flaming some guy and making fun of the weird flexing nature of his post when he still plays the games which are meant for kids

Because cartoons are for kids and I am 25 year old?
Except the fact cartoons or anime are not only for kids, Pokémon is that anime for all the ages and everyone can watch the anime for different reasons: storytelling, Ash's journey, battles, a character they love, Contests (well, in the past), ships etc. So yes, you can leave the anime, I think I'll do the same, but come on, not because "cartoons are for kids" because it doesn't make really sense.

I wouldn't say I am departing. I'll give the new Pokemon Anime a chance but if by the 5th episode, it doesn't entertain me, then I am leaving. I just hope the series doesn't become too predictable.

I again mentioned and debunked that: Pokemon game is for kids but I grew up with it. In Pokemon Games you create your own character to role-play as me, I catch Pokemon what I want and am not limited what writers want, battle who I want etc.

No. Pokemon anime is targeted towards the kids. I never said adults can't watch Pokemon anime. That'd be contradictory since I already said I am watching Ashanime. My point is that I won't be watching new series( along with many people) not ONLY because I am older to watch cartoons for kids but also because characters I grew up with will be gone. So it wouldn't make sense for me to watch new anime because idc nor I have time to bond with these new characters.
If Ash is still with us - I would watch new S/V series. Because Ash, TR, Pikachu are what I grew up with.

Departing all because of Ash Leaving? NEVER. I can’t wait to see what the new set of characters will bring and am excited at the prospect of a new set of characters for every Anime Saga going forward. What I would really like to see at some point is Spin off Series featuring different characters throughout the Anime’s History. You know! I think I’ll make a thread of that.

I’ve been pretty on/off with it throughout the years. XY was the first series I really got into. But even then I’d tune out halfway through and return for the last season, which is how the last 3 sagas have gone for me

I’m undecided atm. Don’t think I’ll be super invested moving forward but might check it out sometimes. Depends on how things go from here

I'm 70% sure I won't bother watching the new Riko series or whatever the girl's name is but if Ash makes another appearance later I'll watch that. I really hope that the folks who've been bashing the anime for years and claim to be leaving really do leave though. There's nothing worse than people who hate something yet continue to cling to it like a parasite.
