Rather bizarre
I got Pokérus back at the times of Ruby,a nd since then I always keep some "sick" Pokémon in my boxes to infect the babies... even though the first time I actually used Pokérus was... three days ago when I started training my newly hatched Treecko and Aerodactyl for the Battle Frontier XD

I have only caught Pokerus once, and that was on CRYSTAL of all things. I healed at the Pokemon Centre in Mahogany, was repeatedly tapping A to skip through her speech and was suprised to see she was talking about something else. I walked outside and Prof. Elm phoned me about Pokerus, I was like 0_o. Indeed, my Growlithe had been infected with Pokerus.

Well I got a pkrs-Togetic and I HAD a pkrs-Skitty too, but I was stupid and I thought it was very bad so I threw the Skitty away :( But how can you MAKE those pkrs? by breeding?

If you have a Pokémon with Pokérus, just walk with it in your team for a while and it will infect other team members :)

Just remember the Pokérus goes away after a day or so, and the Pokémon that had it becomes immune.

edit: if you keep a PKRS Pokémon in the box, as long as you don't move it from there, it will remain infected.

Usually, just some minutes of play. I usually take the infected Pokémon out of the box, put it in my team, do one or two battles and voilà, the Pokémon in my team has PKRS. This is just to infect ONE Pokémon though. I never infected more than one a time, so I don't know.

Btw, sort of a topic for this post:
What was your first pokérus-pokémon?
Mine were Togetic and Skitty

The only time I had Pokerus was in my sapphire, the pokemon I started out with had it. At tat time, I had no idea what pokerus was. I thought it was a harmless condition. :p I was so dumb then. xD Then when I caught more pokemon, they caught it too.

I first got PokeRus on Silver and haven't yet caught it in the 3rd generation though I am waiting to EV train like mad when I do. I was also surprised at the new speech from Nurse Joy and in my usual haste skipped most of it, though I was alert enough for Birch's phone call. I caught it training a Dragonair outside Mt. Silver. (At the time I had no clue about it's effects so I just carried on training.)

gee that's swell
I caught Poke'Rus a long time ago on my Sapphire! I wanted some extra Kecleon, so I was searching the grass, found one, caught it, and when I checked it's status, it said it had Poke'Rus!

It's a bit annoying now though, it's spread to almost all my Pokemon except my Blaziken. I soon as it was in my team, all the other five had Poke'Rus!

Serebii's guide says Nurse Joy tells you about it, but she has never said anything to me. That's sorta weird.

I've had Poke'Rus for two years now and it still hasn't gone away even on Kecleon. How do you get rid of it?

Shouldn't this thread be moved to Pokemon Game section?
