can you plug gamecube controlers into the wii or must you use thier ugly new ones?

yes there 's a place to plug in the gc controllers because some games will only be using the gc controllers (ex.super smash bros. brawl)while some will only use the wii controller(ex. the majority of wii games)

now i might get the wii for christmas and then if i don't get i'll take the money i got for christmas and hopefully have enough but if i don't i'll just save up the amount needed that i don't have.and then yes i'll get pbr .i want it to be a stadium game but i'll still buy and play and enjoy it even if its not
