Who is your team's 'flyer'?

In Diamond I'm using Charap as my current flying pokemon but not sure it's the best to help in elite four.

Staraptor in Pearl. Always kinda liked the early-game birds and used them a lot. They're usually in my party from start to finish, at least on my first playthrough.

My flyer on platinum alternates between a chatot that i bred for the purpose and a staravia, and on pearl it is my shiny drifblim

On Platinum, I use Staravia as my flyer (Though he's an HM slave, hehe). But after the Elite 4, I use either Salamence or Dragonite as my flyer.
