Who likes Zoids?

Seeing as I Admin The Zoids Evolution Forums (under the name of Zelos), who am I to say no

I've loved it ever since I first saw New Century Zero so many years ago (when I believed NC0 was actually the original series, while Chaotic Century truly is). Guardian Force has been my favorite season up until recently, however I've been watching subs of the Japan only Genesis series and it is very awesome as well.

Fuzors is a little hard to comment on, people who were able to continue watching it after it’s cancellation in the US either via Japan or Australia say it was cancelled right as it got good. So, no comment on Fuzors from me.

I also collect the models, however haven't got any new ones lately (I have all the ones I really want, and besides, importing from Japan is to expensive...). If I can get a hold of my sisters digital camera I can try to take a picture of them all (I'd say at least 30, but I can't be sure)

Moonbay was a tasty treat. Outside of that, from episode to episode it was moderately interesting. Any Zoids series that lacked Moonbay bored the pants off me.

I remember watching Zoids a long time ago, or at least it feels like it. I did thought that the Chaotic Century and the Guardian Force were really interesting to watch. I felt nervous everytime a gun came up, but I can handle some stuff like that. I didn't really watch much of the Zero series, but that was kind of interesting too. I do remember that Fuzors one and it was too confusing. I didn't see how it connected to any of the other ones and the whole fighting like that for money was a bit weird to me too. I heard once that a new Zoids series was under development, but that could have been a rumor. Anyway, I do think that Zoids is pretty interesting.

And I've been meaning to ask this to someone for a while: what the hell is this Battle Story thing? I keep seeing references to it here and elsewhere, but I've never heard of it...

Also, is it just me or is the animation for the human characters in Zoids Genesis rather sub-par?

Hmm? Which acronyms? Let's see, a couple I can think of are:

NC0: New Century Zero (Series with Bit and the Liger Zero)
NC: New Century (same as above)
NC/0: New Century/Zero (same, once again)
CC: Chaotic Century (Original series, sometimes also called Classic, with Van and the Shield Liger [spoil]later Blade Liger[/spoil])
GF: Guardian Force (Second series and takes place after CC, stars an older Van and the Blade Liger)

ZEF: Zoids Evolution Forums
ZE: Zoids Evolution (the now defunt site we used to be the boards for)

There are also all the Zoid acronyms, but there are to many of those to list. Then of course the standard AOL speak things such as LOL (Laughing Out Loud), OMG (Oh My God/Gosh), and such. In the RPG there are also acronyms used in weapon names, however those aren't important to know.

And I've been meaning to ask this to someone for a while: what the hell is this Battle Story thing? I keep seeing references to it here and elsewhere, but I've never heard of it...

The Battle Story is the model storyline. See, the old models in Japan used to have tidbits of info on their boxes about the history of that specific Zoid and how it tied into the overall history of Planet Zi. Here are translations of some of them.

Also, is it just me or is the animation for the human characters in Zoids Genesis rather sub-par?

It seems to vary to me; some times it's strange, other times it's fine. The Zoids make up for them, however; besides some messed up Physics (like that's new...) Genesis has hands down the best animated Zoids yet. The Murasame Liger is just so awesome when it's dueling with its blade like an actual sword...

Zoids has been my favourite Anime for years now! CC/GF was the best season ever!

CC and GF were awesome. Raven was one of the greatest anime characters ever. I loved all the stuff there.

Zero was alright. Not a great story, but the fights were nice, and I liked some of the characters.

May we never speak of Fuzors again.

Haven't got a ch ance to see Genesis yet, but I hear its good.

The animation and story in it were kinda dull, but i did like the action though, the Energy Liger destroyed both the Berserk Fury and the Matrix Dragon with one shot apeice, and from what i understand the Berserk Fury became a Zoid known as the Gairyuki(which can turn into a Bird and a Hermit Crab, tick's me off i never got to see it though.), and then there is the Seismo Saurus, a zoid that makes the Ultrasarus from GF pale in comparison, it was outfitted with a charged particle gun, and has a mode change ability and can also fuse with another zoid packed with the Zenebas Cannon, an even more powerful CPC.

Okay that's enough out of fuzors from me.

I actually own the entire CC/GF series (bought two from my nearby Suncoast, ordered the rest online.) I like the action and humor and it is still a good series to watch to this day, my favorite episode of course is when Raven proves to be an idiot and kills his own Zaber Fang by tring to plow through the Sheild Liger's ES, i always laugh at Raven's words as well.

NCO was also good, the humor was great, and the action was as well (Liger Zero Panzer owns.) M favorite episode out of it, is the one where Doctor Laon of the Backdraft team reinforces the Fuma teams Warsharks, and they go after the Blitz team with them two of my favorite moments of the whole series are from that episode alone.

Laon: No, I've gone up against the Blitz team four times before in the past, and i've lost time, does anyone know why?
FTM: Because the liger zero's capabilities are...
Laon:No, i lost because of Tauros..(an evil picture of him appears on the screen laughing)...he is pure evil!

Genesis sounds pretty good according to a website i've been going to for info about it, i wish they would dub it but Fuzors probably killed all chances of that happening plus this series seems even darker than CC/GF are so i don't know if the want too or not, but i hope they do someday and does anyone have any good links to sights of genesis info, the site i'm going too is okay, but i want more indepth coverage of this series.

If you want I could point you in the direction of the Genesis fansubs. There are two teams working on them, but they’re fairly close to each other with one being on episode 13 and the other 10, you yourself will have to choose which to follow if you want to watch them. As far as I know it's unlicensed, so I might be able to post the links on here, but just to keep it safe PM me if you want them (they're .torrent files, so you'll need to use a bittorrent client to get them.)

I don't know what site you're going to, but there's always Zoids Genesis Online. Last time I checked though their episode summaries weren't working, but by the time you check it out they may be back up.

I loved that anime to death. Unfortunately, all I have left of it is on old tapes and like two episodes of NC0. *Drools over Genosaurer and Red BL*

Whatever happens to old anime that get stuck in the morning slots so early no one can see it. *shrug* When the show gets old, it goes to 6 in the morning, then dies. Err, at least, that's the last I saw it.

Zoids is okay for me. I like Chaotic Century/Guardian Force better. Zoids New Century Zero is okay also. It seems to me that Fuzors went downfall (I think). Meh, I'm sucker for romance between Fiona and Van. ^_^
