Who Loves Pikmin?

Recently I got Pikmin and Pikmin 2. I have been playing them nonstop for the past week. It's so addictive. And Pikmin are so cute. It's about the most bizzare game ever. Only Katamari Damacy beats it in bizarreness. SO, who else here likes the Pikmin series? Have any tips, tricks, cheats, or stories?

Yeah, Pikmin owns. Especially the sequel, which somehow managed to seem every bit as innovative as the original. It's great to know some people are still getting into it-we need that support for a Revolution sequel!

I've got a trick, and an easter egg for you. The trick is that you shouldn't forget about Olimar's ability to attack-he's great when you're low on troops, and I even beat that giant mushroom guy from Pikmin 1 with him alone (that way there was no risk of it turning my pikmin against me).

The easter egg is in Pikmin 2, if you have 20 of each Pikmin type in your group, they'll begin to hum the popular song that played in the japanese commercial for the original Pikmin.

It's the Luigi's Mansion theme, I think.
Anyway, I really like it too, but I can't get to the bottom of the Dream Den no matter how hard I try. It's too hard>_>
And in one of the caves, I brought in one Pikmin and I somehow got to the bottom. I think I brought in one purple in the cave with the lobster thing and I got to the bottom. But then I was killed by the lobster.

First explore each sub-level with Olimar only. That will help you alot.
And try to beat many enemies without your Pikmin. Those bugs that throw bombs can help alot.
And in the sub-level with all types of Bulblax/Bulbear/etc. except for the Emperor, Empress and Bulbmin, try to lure the big ones in the pool type thing and beat them up with Olimar when your untop of the ledge. That way, you can hit them but they can't hit you.
And also don't be afraid to use sprays. I actually recommend to only go inside if you have more then 10 of each spray.

Anyway, I like Pikmin. It's as good as games like SSBM, but it can keep you busy for many hours. I've never played the first one, but Pikmin 2 is great.

I've always wanted to get Pikmin, but never had the pleasure of owning them. I figured I'll pick them up dirt cheap around the time of the next-gen launches... If I have any money left. Alternatively, I'll just wait for Pikmin 3!
