Who should i pick?

thanks,i did have the game before but it got broke and i had charmander as my starter....couldnt beat Brock with it

Charmander for the end, Squirtle for the beginning, and you really shouldn't buy used Pokemon games

Squirtle if you like water-types,Charmander if you like fire-types,and Bulbasaur if you like grass-types.

It all depends which design or type you like the best.

All three starters do fine against Brock.

Squirtle and Bulbasaur have the obvious advantage, but when Charmander learns Metal Claw, you can take on the rock types.

I'd pick Squirtle. xD I love him.

Choose between charmander or squirtle. Squirtle is better during the beggining of the game but charmander is more useful as you get towards the end

I would go with charmander but that's only because i think it's the best for the end part and even if it is a bit harder there are always other pokemon you can train to beat brock like a mankey or a butterfree for example. The other reason i go with charmander is because suicune is my favorite out of the legendary dogs.

Charmander, Its a great all-rounder when its fully evolved, just teach it a strong steel move, like iron tail. Bulbasaur, in my opinion is the least useful of the starters, and it has many weaknesses.

IMO Bulbasaur is the best to get. It might be just because I like grass types but I find it very useful as a Venusaur that knows Sleep Powder, Leech Seed, Plant Frenzy, and Razor Leaf. It was ver useful to me in the E4. Against Lorelei and Bruno.

Squirtle or Char Char, i always picked charmander, but when i finally bought my own LG (i used to rent games) i decided to pick squirtle and it was really good too ^_^

Squirtle is the one I always pick. XD But really, its your choice. Charmander and Bulbasaur are also great picks.

Bulbasaur, it learns sleep powder at level 15, making it good for catching other pokemon, it easily beats the fisrt two gyms, is resistant to the third and forth and also has an easy time with the last.

Charmander is...meh, but can be taken down in one rockslide, and Squirtle is more useful with mirror coat, which requries breeding.

Overall it doesn't matter which you choose, ingame the are relatively all as usefull as each other.

But saying that, Bulbasaur is proberly the most useful for filling up the dex /catching more team members(sleep powder), as well as allowing you to easily beat the first four gyms. So i'd pick Bulbasaur.

It depends on how skilled you are as a trainer. If you feel like a challenge, choose Charmander. It's hard to cope with at the beginning of the game - but it makes the game more rewarding. Charmander learns quite a few good moves too.

Squirtle is also a great pick, and imo, the most easy to use of the three. It also learns good moves.

Bulbasaur is a no no imo. It's good against the first two gyms, but it only learns grass moves really. Don't get Bulbasaur unless you really like it, or need it to complete your dex or something.
