Who/what Inspired You...?

blueguy

used Metronome!
Since there will probably NEVER be an area for comicmakers to discuss things, I thought: "Why not make some discussion topics?" A thread like this was around quite a while ago, and I wanted to bring up the subject again.

My greatest inspiration in the beginning was Jassy and Jiggly: Batteries Not Included. It was so quirky and funny and original!... Of course it's dead, now, but I did enjoy it way back when. It's even nominated in the PCCA's. ;)

Who/what inspired YOU to get into Fan Comics?

Woot! SSB!
What inspired me... Devil G, Davis, Sponge_Monkeyz, and Blueray. Thank You all.

But now I am a comic critic. And what inspired me to do that was no other than Infinity, thank you so much.

Thank You all!

guess whos back?
Well back a year ago I stumbled across serebii because of the people at Gamefaqs mentioned this site. I came to the site for a couple of months until I found the message boards. I didnt want to join back then because I was still young. Once I got old enough I decided I would join (it took a while to register, though). After I joined I was inspired by sponge, blueray, davis, snagger, and some other users and I wanted to make a comic, but every time I tried it was horrible. Then one day I gave it one more try using my own characters (the other ones were mario, kirby, ect) and it turned out good, so I hosted it. And ever since then I got into making my own comics.

And theres is my wall of text on about my history in comic making.

Braaiiiiiinss......
When Deoxys Ribonuke wanted to create a comic based off her now-dead RPG Wolfhunters, I got the job.

And the third disc of Final Fantasy VII inspired me to want to make a FFVII comic which'll begin next season, hopefully.

Gone...
Wow I inspired someone to do something? Thanks, pokefan26 ^_^

When I first came to this particular forum I read a comic and then didn't pay too much attention to it until later. Read the original COH and I decided to make comics myself. I had started a random hand drawn comic and I hadn't drawn in several years so it sucked. Then I did Pokén00bs, which flailed (that is not a spelling mistake; inside joke of a Magikarp Doodle) at life too.

Then me and Snaggah took over Mystery comic theatre, it was meh, my style still needed more work.

I took some time to reflect on comics and then I now understand what needs to be done, I still consider myself a newbie though.

Too many people to thank... One person I'd like to thank though is Devil G.

[SPOIL]EEVEE WILL BE IN SSBR, nyah![/SPOIL]

My comic isn't posted here yet, I'm still working on the whole story line thing and stuff. So as I work on my own comic, I review other comics, too.

Well, there's a lot of people who inspired me. Blueguy, Blueray, Master Cougar, Snagger Outlaw, Infinity, Devil_G, Sponge Monkeys, Goatman56, Beco, ...and every other talented comic maker here, sprited or drawn.

Electrode

< give me my hands
Well I really can't say anyone inspired me here since I learned to sprite and make comics on another forum but truly it was my sister who inspired me she tought me how to make comics

Neopolis

Battle Pyramid Champion
Umm, I'm not quite sure... I think it was Pebble Version and Pokémon-X.

Quite a few people here, but particulary Sponge Moneyz and blueguy. If this is spam because I've yet to make a comic, please tell me and I'll delete this post. However, I am considering making an Animal Crossing comic...

What inspired me to make a sprite comic and to make it overworld was Sindakwil and his comic "A town called Littleroot".
And to make one about Zelda: Four Swords Adventures were strangely enough my blue, red, green and black pens I use at school.

Goatman56

Paras is the shiz!
Eh, I guess "Bob and George" made me want to make a comic. I started out with really crappy comics. I started making them at the Poke Community, I was good at critique back then. But then a guy named ArmadilloHD opened my eyes and I learned the ways. I even started making better comics.

Also Tenten, i'm glad I helped inspire you :D.

Solid Kirby

Back, I guess.

You screwed up on the underscores there, sweetie. ^_^

Anyway, My biggest inspiration was really just one person. Gundam_Remake. It was really due to him (And the fact that he was the only sprite comic maker at SPPf to use Ganondorf...) that I got into comics.

Oh, and some self critisizm and realizing that the first rendition of Chronicles of Hyrule (Very first, never published) helped a bit, too. *raises eyebrow* Hey, If I still had them, I would gladly show you how much of a n00b I was. But I don't. Stop bugging me. >_<

Mastercougar

The Infinite Fire
Wisest Pikachu! WISEST PIKACHU IS IT, PLAIN AND SIMPLE!

Yep, WP was the one who made me want to get into comic making, and for too long a time I was rather dependent on his spritework.

It wasn't too long, though, before I discovered Bob and George, which inspired me in other ways. Eliza is a good example.

Just the fact that I loved sprites, no particular comics inspired me.

Nyaaaah? Inspiration? Whoohoo!

I was inspired by a sprite comic long dead now

There were many people who inspired my many failed comics, but the two main ones were Sponge and Infinity.

Sponge, you showed me what it really means to laugh and not to follow the crowd. The main comic that inspired me was Duskypuff, which pushed the rules to its limit.

Infinity, you taught me what I would of never been able to learn by myself. Before, I though that making a comic was mostly to please the readers. You taught me that it was mostly for enjoyment.

So, to the two of you, I thank you. When my next comic, which will be in awhile, comes up, you two will be credited for your contributions.
