Am still a hardcore MATO fan. Am getting used to Yamamoto Satoshi's work but there's something cute about MATO's SD characters that I've always liked.

I'm going with Mato. While both artists have styles that work, I prefer Mato's chibi characters and pokemon. There's just something about SD that I've always liked, and it doesn't stop here. Also, Satoshi draws several characters, especially the old ones, in really...weird ways. I understand they've "grown up", but still...

I think that there are pros and cons to both of the artist's work, MATO has the chibi look that everyone seems to like, but Satoshi Yamamoto has perfect shading on the manga eyes.

wait....which artist does what?

MATO will always be my favorite. Satoshi does good work too,but he draws their eyes a little too big,I mean, the cover of vol. 21 weirded me out a bit because Sapphire's eyes were so huge. D:

Satoshi Yamamoto is better. With his art you can see the character's look. The Mato's art was too shoujoish to me. I don't like chibi.

I like both of the art styles, but I prefer Mato's style much more because it retains that innocent look while having the aura of intensity. However, it was a bit difficult to get a grasp of what each character's figure was like. Satoshi does this perfectly, but in the exchange, he has trouble depicting emotion.

PS: I hate the new Giovanni. :/
