Since I made a Girl Trainer Poll, I thought of doing a Boy Trainer Poll =D

...

I pick Drew. Not because I'm a fangirl of his, but the way he battles is just..um...fabulous...xD And his Pokemon Team is powerful too. And with his new Pokemon-Absol...His Pokemon Team just gets stronger ^_^

I would have picked Ash, but, somehow...Drew defeated him...-Fair and square =P

Hm..they're all quite competent and talented, but since Gary is a researcher, he may be a bit 'behind' in terms of experience by now. You never know though.

As for Richie...he defeated Ash in the Indigo League and is generally pretty smart I guess, but if he has about the same team as when we last saw him, I don't think he'd stand a big chance against the majority of the other trainers listed there.

Ash is an excellent battler, I don't even need to restrain my fangirlism to know that it's fact ;P He handles all of his Pokémon very well, and under normal circumstances (without these sudden over-confident/snobbish moments the writers seem to love so much), he can beat just about anyone who isn't an Elite Four member, especially with the awesome team he has right now.

I wish we could see Drew having full battles with no time limit for once, since those are the type of battles who make one's strength most obvious IMO. He's a great battler, no one can deny that, but I'm not sure if he has the stamina to keep the same pace and force in a full 6VS6 battle that could possibly be more than one hour long. He seems to, but I can't tell.

James has defeated Ash before (I didn't see that particular episode though), but I think that was with rental Pokémon or something. He just needs to be far away from Jessie and stronger Pokémon in his own team, and I'm sure he'd be able to give anyone of the above mentioned trainers a run for their money.

Torn between Drew and Ash right now, so I'm not voting. I might do later though.

Ash owns as a battler. I'm a James fangirl and I like Drew, but James has no clue how to be a trainer most of the time and Drew fills a different role then Ash. As a conventional trainer, Ash is the best of those

Gary is good and has been proven so in the Johto League, but I'm a bit doubtful as to how much stronger he has become afterwards as I believe he spends more time on Pokémon research overall.

Richie - I refuse to believe he was strong to begin with. Ash could've easily pwned the guy if only Charizard had obeyed. Okay, I know the obedience of the Pokémon depends on the trainer, but still. If Ash had battled Richie in Johto where they met again, I bet Ash would've beat Richie easily.

Harley - I have no idea. Lemme get back to that after next week's episode.

James is good and all, and he could probably go far if he got the chance, but I don't think he would stand as much of a threat against any of the others in the poll :/

Drew, though. He's very good, no doubt about it. He has strong Pokémon and has good strategies, but I still vote for Ash as he has more Pokémon and a bit more experience. However, if the two got to battle now it would be a close race.

I notice that Brock failed to make it on the list, yet Richie didn't. Of the two, Brock's clearly the better trainer, so I don't know why he wasn't included.

But of the options that were provided, as much as I don't like it, I have to say Ash. He's just the most powerful trainer on the show. He beat Gary, Richie's a punk that isn't good for anything, Drew is good, but not that good, Harley is just sad, and James is just pathetic. If everyone listed were in one giant battle, Ash would come out on top.
