Who's the True Strongest Trainer in Kalos?

Mr.Munchlax

Great Ball Rank Trainer
I know that Diantha is considered the strongest trainer in Kalos since she's the champion, but I know that most people who played Pokemon X & Y mention how she's the easiest & most underwhelming champion in the entire series (though most of the boss trainers were considered cake walks too).

Because of this, I was wondering who everyone thinks is the "true" strongest trainer in all of Kalos based on their in-game team, the number of catchable pokemon to counter them, & how difficult they were in the game (basically the same guidelines that made Whitney one of the strongest trainers in Johto).

Feel free to state who you think is the best & why you think so. However, the protagonist doesn't count for this. You're only allowed to mention in-game trainers/NPCs such as the gym leaders, Diantha, the Elite Four, Lysandre, AZ, etc.

Ignition

We are so back Zygardebros
Literally the only character I've seen people have trouble with is Grant. Despite being a specialist of a Type with 5 weaknesses and living in a city that's surrounded by water and proceeded by a route of Grass Types, his fossils manage to give people trouble. Amarua has Refrigerate and Tyrunt had Strong Jaw which helps boost their damage output. Their typings also help somewhat work around their weaknesses. So even though he's weaker than pretty much every other boss sans Viola, I think he's the toughest in proportion to where the player is.

If we don't include bosses, there's a couple of Double Battles that can catch people off guard. There's 2 Trainers who both use Furfrou outside of the route you catch Snorlax and STAB Headbutt that early is pretty strong (a similar situation happens in USUM and the URS). There's also a Double Battle with a Machoke and Mr Mime before Reflection Cave

None of the Kalos characters provided much of a challenge from what I remember, other than the Battle Chatelaines. So I figure that they're the strongest NPCs in the game, although ironically they're not involved in the main storyline.

Honestly no one comes to mind. Diantha is the strongest as far as I know. Heck, in the manga, Diantha's Gardevior actually intimidates Lysandre a bit and he has his whole Pokemon team out. In terms of XY's difficulty and lore, Diantha is the strongest.

Strongest as in who gave us the hardest battle in these games? Because I'd go with Morgan or Evelyn from the Battle Maison but if we're restricted to characters outside of battle facilities then Lysandre was kind of hard for me to beat too. :]

I don't remember much about my battle against Fuladari (Lysandre), but I remember that Lematin (Morgan) was a challenging trainer for me: her team of Legendaries in the Super Rotation Battle was a nightmare to beat even with my best team.

Hmm...

Does the anime count? Cause I want to say anime Diantha or Alain

I think it's Diantha.

Either way, didn't have any trouble with the trainers from the region.

I think I even managed to complete the E4 using only a Chespin lol

(BTW: curse you, Dexit 'cause I wanted to do the same with Leon!)

Anime: Alain. His charizard is ridiculously overpowered.

In the game: It's obviously Diantha, nothing doesn't even begin to get close. Add that to the low difficulty if your team is properly prepared then nothing is really too difficult except the Elite 4. I hate Aegislash when i forget to not use physical attacks against Kings Shield.

RedBlastoise

Cerulean Blues
Diantha was the strongest one but her team was bonkers. It didn't seem like it had a theme to it because it was like a random assortment of Pokemon that hadn't been used by other major characters in Kalos before that point. Her M-Gardevoir was the only challenge for me in that match.
