Why are gym leaders stupid? lol

I think AFTER you beat the elite four the game should be able to restart in expert mode.. in which all the gym leaders were REAL experts at their types.. and so were the 1337 four lol like

If pokemon was in real life I'm pretty sure nobody would be a gym leader unless they had everything at level 100

I mean... they are all like supposed to be the best trainer around at their elemental type but seriously... whats with the lvl 14 geodudes and stuff then? lol

>_> what if pokemon games gym leaders teams were all 6 pokemon teams of lvl 100s of the type with even ledgendarys of the element lol

lol like the 1st gym leader (usually rock type) in expert mode would be

Lvl 100 Golem
Lvl 100 Rhyperior
Lvl 100 Regirock
Lvl 100 Tyranitar
Lvl 100 Rampardos
Lvl 100 Probopas

Not too easy to take out :p

and then the water one would be like...

Lvl 100 Palkia
Lvl 100 Gyrados
Lvl100 Blastoise
Lvl 100 Suicine
Lvl 100 Kyogre
Lvl 100 Manaphy

Electric gym leader could be like

LVl 100 Raikou
Lvl 100 Raichu
Lvl 100 Luxray
Lvl 100 Electivire
Lvl 100 Rotom
LVl 100 Zapados

Fire gym leader could be like
Lvl 100 Infernape
Lvl 100 charizard
Lvl 100 typhlosion
Lvl 100 arcanine
Lvl 100 magmortar
Lvl 100 heatran

The grass leader could be like
Lvl 100 Venasaur
Lvl 100 Torterra
Lvl 100 Sceptile
Lvl 100 Roserade
Lvl 100 Meganium
Lvl 100 shaymin

You get the point right? lol

The point of Gym Leaders is to be a way for new trainers to get strong and make it to the Elite 4 that explains their initial "stupidity". Your idea is good for after beating the Elite 4 though

like for instance the 1st time through they could give you amatuer badges , kind of the way that a drivers permit doesn't truly count but a liscensce does

and beating the E4 the 1st time they should give you like a silver trophy.. but then the 2nd time when they all have lvl 100 teams with all 6 pokeballs filled.. they should give you a gold trophy and the other versions ledgendary as a prize

and the gym leaders in the REAL time through should like give you a ledgendary only obtainable by beating them or something with a real badge that when in collection with the other badges let you battle the UBER l33t 4

I got this entire idea from izyan7s sig lol

I saw his sig and thought.. THAT is what the gym leaders should be like... totally 1337 about their type and lvl 100 only lol

is back.
Lvl 100 Palkia
Lvl 100 Gyrados
Lvl100 Blastoise
Lvl 100 Suicine
Lvl 100 Kyogre
Lvl 100 Manaphy

Four legends? That would suck if someone had to fight him.

thats exactly the point HAHA lol

its supposed to be something worthy of being called the best <insert element> trainer in all of the world

Even if they had 6 lvl 100s, they would still be a stupid trainer for using the same type. If pokemon were real, gym leaders would make balanced teams with a ride range of types, just like 99% of the teams people here use for battles.

not if gym leaders still had to give you an elementally themed badge.....

I actually like the idea of making the prizes for really tough gym leaders be Unique or legendary Pokemon. Maybe somewhere down the line, they can use a mechanic like that to give away old legendaries that wouldn't be accessable otherwise. Each gym leader uses Level 100's, including the Legendary you would get as a prize. I can honestly see that happening as in something like Pokemon Stadium or Battle Frontier, for this generation. Maybe as a pre-order gift for some full game, just a Wii or DS demo that is merely a series of pokemon gym leader battles. You get a menu, and can choose which leader you want to face... I dunno, it sounds good in my head at least.

I love to see the trainers in game evolve and get better as you yourself progress. The idea that they all max out to the point of all having 6 lvl 100 pokemon is a good one that I hope might see the light of day in a future game.

I've had this idea since my Red and Blue, and especially as of late. I was discussing an MMORPG idea with someone about Pokemon, and this was a common topic we brought up. It IS stupid.

Well if they did have all level 100s, then you would take a pretty long time to train just for the first gym leader, considering the wild Pokemon are levels 2-5.

no I said that it would be an "Expert mode" after you beat the game the way it normally is :D

so like... you do it all twice once normal 2nd time crazy hard

Idk but even if you can I'm pretty sure they aren't uber the 2nd time

Pretty good idea, I like it. There's pretty much a legend for every type, so it could work.

Well, that's a nifty idea, however, it's thinking -too- realistically.

I mean, I've always wondered the same thing, but, I eventually concluded the the gym trainer probably had more Pokemon with them. They just chose to use whatever it was that corresponded with your current skill; so that the battle was fair. They're gym leaders, and they're supposed to be fair.

Anyway, I mean, yeah, if the gym leaders did bust out level 100 pokemon, you wouldn't exactly have a story, because, you wouldn't be able to beat the game the first time around.
