Why can't they be back in their OS clothes? Why? because anime character cannot be like human, eat, sleep, shower, wearing different clothes. Do you wear back your older clothes occasionally when going out when going out with your friends and family or you dumping ii in the thrash after wearing once? No right?

Sorry if i sounded mean but yeah, you get the point.

It's just funny that everytime they happen to meet Ash again lately they happen to be in the clothes they both wore all the way back then.

Two words... nostalgia bait. Also because their OS outfits are the most recognisable, and therefore the ones that will draw people into watching this epilogue series.

Iconic imagery. I actually wish they'd give Ash his classic get up as for the final stretch. His first cap is still the most iconic and the special showing it again was very nostalgic.
