Why are the last 2 in the pokemon leauge so difficult

Drake weeps when facing Ice Attacks. Use them and obliterate.

Wallace/Steven are tricky, though. Steven needs a rather variated Team. Fire and Fighting Attacks will be your best bet.

Wallace is easy if you carry an Electric and Grass Pokémon with you.

Maybe because your team isn't trained well.

This is what I was thinking. If they're strong, you should be strong too. Try getting Ice, Electric and Grass pokemons for the last two.

This is great advice. But don't use Electric and Grass for Steven. If you have to battle Steven I used Fire and Water, but that was me. And I always have my pokemon to at least lvl. 55-60

I was talking only about emerald since I am not playing anymore R or S. I forgot Steven :D. Fire pokes will do great damage on him for sure.

Well, the Elite 4 are MEANT to be challenging.

Drake cries to Ice attacks (except Kingdra on Emerald, use anything for that, I personally used Grass, Dragon is effective). Steven's big weakness is Fire but for Metagross, use something resistant to Earthquake with a Fire/Ground attack. For Wallace, use a mix of Grass, Electric and a hard hitter and resistant Pokemon.

Drake is proboley the weakest of them all, just have a kinda good level ice guy and you will win, wallace is a differnt story o_O he takes a long time to kill because your pokemon are nearly out of moves. i wont make that mistake again, for now on im keeping all of my max elixors.

no need for max elixirs, you can just plant a bunch of leppa berries. you only need 10 PP worth of moves by the time you get to the last guy anyway.

drake:
shelgon/altaria/kingdra/flygon/salamence - use ice

steven:
skarmory/metagross - fire (or electric for skarm and ground for metagross)
armaldo/claydol/aggron - water
cradily - ice

OR

wallace:

wailord/milotic/tentacruel/gyarados - electric
whiscash - grass if you've got it. otherwise, water/ice works
ludicolo - bug/poison/flying. other than that, ANYTHING BUT WATER.

fire/water beats steven, electric/grass owns wallace, ice murders drake.

You shouldn't use ice-attacks on Kingdra Go with Dragon. But don't use Dragon Pokemon against Drake as he will tear you apart.

Drake: Use something with ice beam and dragon claw
Wallace: Use something with Thunderbolt and a powerfull grass attack and a sludebomb on Ludicolo

I beat the elite for wit basically a level 83 kyogre with Ice Beam,Water Fall,Sheer Cold, and Hydro Pump you can take Drake's whole team out with 5 ice beams and for Steven ice beam on Skarmory waterfall on claydol and aggron ice beam on lileep (or is it cradily) waterfall or hydro pump on armaldo and sheer cold or hydro pump on metagorss

you use ice beam on kingdra because it's convenient. the complete list of non-dragon-type pokes (who are therefore not weak to dragonbreath) with decent sp. atk are: charizard (can't have before beating the E4 for the first time anyway), mew (same), groudon (also same on emerald), and sceptile. and i don't know about you, but i try not to use TMs if i don't need to. (same for using sludge bomb. use fly, it's replaceable. or aerial ace, if you raised a swellow)

kingdra strategy consists of using the strongest move you can that isn't water- or fire-type. so you just use the same poke that has ice beam, because it's just easier.

For Drake I would Suggest another Dragon type but because Dragons are weak to eachother, use and Ice type. But carry around a Dragon type for his two type Pokemon. For Wallace, use a grass or electric type, just like everybody else suggested.

Because you don't bring Full restores, ect or you don't train your pkmn
The best starter is Torchick,or treecko but Torchick is more usefuly.

Umbreon master
Drake...just use Ice Beam. One Ice Beam will KO all his pkmn (except Kingdra). Also, if you dont have alot of items, ur pkmn better be lv.50 +. These people here who say that u need lv.60, 70, 80 etc. must be poor at battling, I have never used a team over lv.60 when I reached the E4 and beat them. If all else fails, use Kyogre (if u can), he's cheap, but he is the best overall option.

Steven/Wallace...like other have said for wallace, just use Elec and Grass. He isnt that bad. Steven is much tougher, Fire/Elec for Skarmory, Water for Aggron, Claydol, and Armaldo, Cradily(who I think is the toughest) I would reccomend Ice or Fighting, but dont expect and easy victory, and Metagross...why are ppl recommending Ground attacks? Aka Earthquake? Meta's Defence is really good, I would much rather use Flamethrower or Fire Blast. Meta is slow, and yes his Earthquake will hurt ur Fire attacker, but he will go down first bc I doubt a single Earthquake will KO ur fighter. (2 Flamethrowers/Fire Blast is better thatn 1 Earthquake)

Maybe 'cuz your pokemon are exhausted and your supplies low when you get there. I myself won by the skin of my teeth.

Probably because if they were as easy as the rest it wouldn't be challenging.

Just use Ice on Drake, and electric / grass on Wallace.

If you go to Wallace packing grass, the majority of his team carries Ice-type attacks, so watch it. A good physical attacker is your best bet against him, IMO. Good electric is nice, but some of those SD levels and type combinations make it a strategy that is not guaranteed success (Water/Grass Ludicolo, Water/Ground Wiscash, and that Milotic with amazing SD and Recover are what I speak of) You really have to counter his pokemon one by one, if you plan to go the route of finding type advantages instead of attribute weaknesses. As for Drake, yeah, use ice or dragon, but try to avoid actual ice and dragon types that don't have weakness-covering dual-types. Their Dragon moves, Rock Slide and Flamethrower tend to end that party fairly quickly otherwise. Note that the Kingdra isn't as susceptible to ice, so dragon or physical attacks are better there, and its relatively high SD and protection from Electric and Grass granted by its dragon type makes those types less attractive, but still viable. If all else fails, play a mind game and make use of status effects(Confuse Ray, Toxic, infatuation, paralysis) and other delay tactics(Protect, double-team, etc) in either battle if necessary. Smart switching can be key too. That's all the advice I have for you right now. Keep us posted.
