I mean...grass grows in the ground...so...? It's a pretty good type (I think). The ground blocks out Fire weakess from Grass, and Grass blocks out water weakness from Ground.

Ground doesn't block out Fire weakness. A Rock/Grass would do that.

That would a fun idea, a Ground/Grass type. I can sort of picture this.

I think it's because Ground type Pokemon are more meant to be in rocky or even desert areas. They aren't really similar to "earth", I mean wet ground were the grass grows. They are more like Rock type pokemon, hard or bulky(w?). The only grass/ground Pokemon which look would fit with his type combination would be a cactus, but we already have a cacnea(who isn't a ground type).
Water/Ground pokemon and Nincada are exeptions of the "typical" ground pokemon, I guess.

Hmm, a Grass/Ground type would make a lot of sense considering grass grows in the ground XD. Oh well, we should just wait and see...

If only the concept of fusing certain Pokemon would be introduced, then maybe a Torkoal/Bulbasaur creature could exist. A Golem wrapped in the vines of a Tangela would be pretty cool too.

They deliberately leave such Pokemon types out to allow opportunities for 4th Gen.

Nooo! I'm too young!
lol the ground-grass type pokemon, dirt clod. Well, they might just make one in D/P, but it is a pretty useless combo.

I use Cradily and I think he is awesome.

Type in Goras into google image search. That is what I would imagine a grass/ground to look like. I would also like to see something based of Bacoon being a Water/Poison type and something based of Vulcain which will be Fire/Bug type. This will never happen though...

It does make sense but, it would have too many weaknesses.
it have four weaknesses like an ice-type
and here they are

go to the left find your attack type and you can see its relationship to pokemon types. go to the top find you pokemon type, and see what works against it. orange means it is not vey effective while green is super effective. red is completely resistant.

A grass ground type would be cool, but it wouldn't work well competitively. I think the best you are going to get are grass-water, grass-rock, and grass-psychic.
