Why can't evolution be straight forward?

I don't get how you evolve those who need to be evolved by learning a move not naturally learned. Plus, items are hard to get that you need to evolve, like protector to evolve rhydon. This makes all of the pokemon i originally wanted hard to get and thus making them not part of my team when i DO get them. Is there an easier or faster way to evolve these certain pkmn that need these hard items or a special/certain move?

gamefreak made it this way for a reason.

take this for example...

say if tangela evolved at lv.60 in DP...
but that wouldnt make any sense because if you got a tangela to lv.60 in R/S/E it wouldnt evolve.
so thats why gamefreak makes ways to evolve pokemon in new ways

It makes the game more interesting if you have to do more in order to get your Pokemon to evolve. Not only that, but like 9voltdude said, there are complications in the game where if it evolves at a certain level in one game, but doesn't in the other, it wouldn't make any sense between the 3rd generation games and the 4th generation games.

iot gaves the game a little strategy i wouldnt like boring game with no original stuff it would be no new features and trade evolving would be useless

All Pokemon that need to learn a move to evolve learn them naturally. You just need the Move Tutor for one of them (Piloswine).

Well they did this is Pokemon Blue/Red.

Machoke, Haunter, Graveler, Kadabra.

Those 4 pokemon couldnt evolve with out trading. The reason they did that was to show that trading pokemon wasn't 'lame' and it was a sweet bonus.

I like new ways to evolve pokemon. The 'move evo' and 'place evo' are fresh and good ideas. If you dont like the ways to evolve them then your stuck with the original pokemon. :p

Except Lickitung evolves upon learning Rollout despite the fact that it could learn it via Move Tutor in FR/LG and not evolve. GF managed to shoot themselves in the foot with that one.

you get in hard mount.
i just got one!
its kool cause there's alot of rydon outin the grass.

i dont get whe GF makes usless pokemon like:
rattata, ferrow, spheal,
LV 50 or higher,
just cause there from the past.
you have to breed them to get movesets you want,
and you should've gotten them at an appropriate level.

Tengan Mountain and those two rocks (Moss rock and Ice rock, i think) where Eevee evolves into the two new eeveelutions, probably won't exist in the 5th gen, if there is one. How will Magneton evolve if the 5th generation's region doesnt have Tengan mountain, or anything similar?

It's not really hard to evolve them, it's actually easier, they just learn that move and they evolve. You can't exactly use an AR to force Pokemon into evolution, you'd have to use an AR code to make the evo appear in the wild.
