Why can't Nidorina and Nidoqueen can't breed? Nidoran (Female) can breed, so why can't its evos? Someone clarify!

I'm pretty sure that two female Nidoran are unable to breed. You can't breed with two of the same sex, it's physically impossible, both in real life and in the games.

I think.

Edit: I hate this site for being SO SLOW. >O

Odd, my Pokedex Collecter's Edition book says that Nidoking and Nidoqueen can't breed. Weird.

Anyways, I find it odd that only Nidoran female can breed. Yet, Nidoran male's line can all breed. o.o'

You're the one who's slow, Strawberry. What the thread owner is saying is how Nidoran (F) can breed, but the other two can't breed with any other Pokemon.

Nidoran (F) - Able to breed with OTHER Pokemon.
Nidorina - Unable to breed with anything.
Nidoqueen - Unable to breed with anything.

i reckon they become nuns when they evolve :p lol but tbh i dont think its ever been xplained why they cant, it is very strange tho

Yes, but if this was true wouldn't this mess with Nidorinoes and Nidokings' abilities to reproduce as well? I think menopause is the answer, anyway in Mystery Dungeon one of the rescue missions is to escort a Nidoqueen to its boyfriend which is a Nidoking, so yeah....

Maybe before evoltion, female nidorans can lay eggs. Maybe nidorina are meant to protect the babies instead of reproducing even more.

It's a bit odd when the Babies can breed, but the teenage and Adults can't........

That's just way too screwed.......
