Why Cophishs Shoots Bubblebeam From It's Claws!

Theres this kind of shrimp i saw on tv, and it opens it's claw then closes it, and out comes a bubble as hot as the sun! its only that hot for a nanosecond though.
(if you don't beleive me, don't not beleive me.)

And that people is why corphish shoots bubblebeam out of its claws. its based on that shrimp. I didn't catch it's name though. anyone have a name of the shrimp?

Wait, I don't get this. Is this a thread about Corphish being related to a shrimp?

well i put it in anime because corphish is only shown shooting bubblebeam out of its claws in the anime. maybe in XD or colo but ive never used a corphish on XD.

Oh and this fits more than just snapping shrimp.

wikipedia said:
The pistol shrimp snaps a specialized claw shut to create a cavitation wave that generates noise in excess of 200 decibels, capable of killing small fish and breaking glass up to 1.8 metres away. The snap can also produce sonoluminescence from a collapsing bubble, also known as cavitation bubble This has been dubbed "shrimpoluminescence". The light is of lower intensity than the light produced by typical sonoluminescence and is not visible to the naked eye. It is most likely a by-product of the shock wave with no biological significance. However, it is the first known instance of an animal producing light by this effect.

It is thought that when the bubble implodes a very small region momentarily reaches temperatures of several thousand kelvins, comparable to the temperature of the outer layer of the Sun.

That's what I'd imagine Water Pulse to be like.

Well some water pokemon do have same attacks in different ways like surskit,in one episode it slammed a tentacle in to the the lake of water and it used water pulse. same thing for that lairon in another episode,it's eyes turned blue then outta nowhere water comes out of the ground.so some pokemon have the same attacks but they do it in different ways.

Yes, that is true. Hidden power seems it can come out of anywhere.

Should there be /is there a thread to discuss how the same attacks vary between pokemon in the anime?

hmmm

Oh cool!

i always thought it was just because the anime peeps were like "not from the mouth, thats every OTHER water pokemon!"

Even if it weren't for the snapping shrimp, the claws just seem more natural to shoot projectiles with anyway. Like Hassamu using Hyper Beam from its claws.

I though Corpfish was a lobster or something...never mind. About the bubblebeam, maybe it's just for making a difference. It wouldn't be fun if all water pokemon spit water out of their mouths, I think. Just remember Misty's Staryu shooting stars from its core (Swift attack)

corphish seems to use its claws as hands and bubblebeam is more of a projectile then it ever was ><
or maybe its stronger when launched from his claws

Lawl. It's Japanese name is Heigani. Just because its English name has the misspelling of fish (note that fish don't have claws, good sir ;\) doesn't make it to be that. Otherwise we'd have only male Mr. Mime. 8)

It opens its mouth to talk and eat. Some kind of "expert" you are.
