What is the color of your Emerald cartridge? If it isn't green, then big chance that it is an pirated copy of Emerald, which often has this kind of thing.

no this is a comon glich if you skip the credits your game will erase this happen on mine and it is clear green

No, that cant be it. I skipped the credits and it saved just fine. Must be some other kind of glitch. Here's what I'd suggest. Take the cartrige and look in the part that goes into the gba/ds. Is one of the little gold thingys out of place? That might do it.

Pixle I always turn off my game when it comes to the credits. It saves before the credits.

So it doesn't happen. What is common is pirated games and idiots who download ROMs. XD
