Why do people hate Ubers?

Ubers are fine in the uber metagame; keep them out of the other metagames and there isn't a problem.

I dont hate ubers, I just dont think they are fair in competitive play for their uber stats. (Thus the name uber)

It gives some people an unfair advantage over someone who doesn't have the ability to get one, or doesn't want to, or hasn't been able to for any number of reasons. Mainly, this is a problem in link-up battles, since some players may not have gotten one prior to battling someone who has gotten them.

Makes sense though, a team of ubers would definitely be able to kick the mule of a regular team, despite how strong the regular team was.

I don't mind the uber Pokes.

In-game, use whatever Pokemon you please. It's your game.

When playing competitively though, I don't use uber and try to make a team from regular Pokemon, which requires the use of some strategy, as opposed to just grabbing a Kyogre and going "lol surf surf ice beam thunder".

What's really fun though, is taking out one of the ubers with a non-uber and watching the look on your opponents face. (Your Sandslash OHKO'd my Deoxys!? WTFBBQHAX?!?)

I don't hate em. I just feel that they take away the fun factor from the game. The main reason I even get the legendaries are for bragging rights.

in MD there great to use!! i have a kyroge on my emerold team, other than that i dont realy care about legendarys much...i would rather use them as secreat wepons in the battle tower apposed to using them in battles with real life people...the only one a will always use on my team is Shima!

I don't like Ubers. There overpowered and cheap. I bet D/P wifi is going to be full of little kids with teams like Diaruga, Parukia, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Groudon and Mewtwo.

I like the actual uber-Pokemon, but seriously, there isn't any work involved in them if you're batling a friend. It's not the right way to win battles, they're just fun.

I like them, but I hate using ubers.....it just doesn't seem like I'm playing much of a game with them..... they beat their opponents most of the time, you can't raise them as many levels, and there is really no raising them at all..... that is my opinion

I like ubers but I'd never use them against somebody else, why because it sucks all the fun out the match. I hope they don't allow them on wifi like in the battle tower

Ubers aren't bad, they're just made for the uber metagame and in-game arse-whooping of the E4.

Maybe they do make winning a lot easier, but what was I supposed to do? My frieand was using Ubers and Ubers only. Yes, I tried to go with pokemon like Venasour and Meganium against his Kyogre, Venasour got ****ed up by one Psychic attack from his Mewtwo and could not take his Kyogre's two ice beams. Meganium somehow managed to beat his Kyogre, and was able to take anything from his Mewtwo, that's the reason he is still on my team (look at my TC \/).
My team used to be Meganium, Lapras, Charizard, Feraligatr, Tyraniter, Starmie. I had a choice, either keep loosing or switch to Ubers, I chose Ubers. My current team is on my TC \/. I voted for: No, I don't hate Ubers.

Yeah - Ubers play a major role in a game, and without them, pokemon will be crap.
