Why does Kamon/Silver/???/Whatever you named him hate Team Rocket?

Hey!

Well, as you all know, we later find out that your rival is Giovanni's son. As you also all know, he hates Team Rocket. That is... interesting.

Why do I say that, do you ask? Well... because I don't know WHY he hates Team Rocket. It might be because he sides with his dad, and it might be because he doesn't side with his dad...

If it was because he sides with his dad... well, Giovanni had abandoned Team Rocket. Maybe Giovanni was getting tired of the former Team Rocket members trying to impress him. Maybe ???(I'm just gonna call him that...) overheard his father talking about how Team Rocket was weak and he was going to quit. Since G/S/C takes place three years after the end of R/B/Y/G, and in G/S/C he was probably around ten, he would've heard it when he was seven, which is a young enough age for him to be absorbing every one of his father's words and, in a way, inheriting his look on things. So maybe he was agreeing with his father when they said Team Rocket was bad.

Or maybe he was disagreeing. How do you think ??? would feel, being the son of the leader of Team Rocket? He'd be an observer - probably a close one, as the person who told you probably knew him - of Team Rocket. It's natural for a kid to love his father and want his father to spend time with him - but instead Giovanni would be spending that time trying to take over the world. And he'd be doing that up until ??? was about seven. Like I said, that's young enough to attain a permanent view on things... you never quite grow over personality traits you attain when you're that young, even if you forgot or no longer care about what caused you to get them. Also, even if he isn't (at least conciously) angry with his father, it might be that he's angry against Team Rocket itself. Their goal was to impress Giovanni and try to get him to rejoin... ??? might not want that.

And then there are other possibilites, too. Maybe he just got annoyed with Team Rocket when he watched them and wanted to prove he was better. Who knows?

So, tell me what you think.

And people - please don't say "It's just a game so who cares, the people who wrote the game probably didn't even think about it, yada yada." That really annoys me... it spoils the fun. It can't hurt to think about it, so I don't see what the big deal is.

He's the son in the magna(sp?), so he might hate him beacause he cares only about strength, and feels TR is weak. I don't even think he is Giovonni's child, it just says he/she has red hair in FR/LG, for all we know it could be the leader of the team in DP. And that team could be fighting with TR, meaning TR could be back.:) Back on-topic, he probally hates TR, beacause he feels they are weak, and he is strong, and the strong must destroy the weak. he probally read too much Darwin, survial of the strongest.

Well, ??? must be angry because he hates what his father did... or because his father abandoned him... I, personally think he's completely confused... lost with nothing to understand. I will get more in later...

Because he looks down on how they are weak alone, but only act tough in a group.

He can all beat them one-on-one.

I know... I feel a little sorry for him:(

We can't actually PROVE he's Giovanni's son, but a lot of people think he is. In later games, I think FR/LG, a Team Rocket member at first thinks you're Giovanni's kid. Later he/she(dunno which) says, "No, you can't be Giovanni's kid, 'cause Giovanni's kid has red hair."

And WHO'S known for having red hair? Him. It might be just a coincidence, but I like to think that he is. It's funner that way.

Well... it's not proven. However, we do know that Giovanni has a kid, and that kid has red hair. There should be a thread in the FR/LG forum debating this (it's sure surprising how many people say it's Red, when in fact it has been proven that it's not Red).

I think that he hates TR because Giovanni (his father, altough that could be Lance´s) gives more attention to they that to him (poor guy, his father ignores him, he has been kidnapped by Ho-Oh, very much things)

Hmm... for everyone who knows that Silver is Giovanni's son, who'd be his mother? I think I know.

I truly believe that Giovanni's wife, or used to be wife, is Red's mother. Maybe Red and Silver just don't know it. Maybe only Red's mother knows. Maybe Giovanni had
SeX
with their Mother, but broke up with her before they knew that they had another child coming. That child was probably Red. So maybe Giovanni took Silver with him when he left the mother. Then the two kids were raised apart, never knowing eachother's identity.
If you want to know where I'm heading, just read the last 5 chapters of
The Eldest-by Christopher Paolini. That'll explain almost everything.

There are so many possibilities...

Hmm... well I've never actually found any real evidence to support that... the rumor that Giovanni is Ash's dad is the only real reason, and when you think about it there's no real reasoning behind that rumor.

This is off topic, but I personally think Ash doesn't "have" a father. He's been mentioned in the first few episodes, but never since then. The writers probably originally planned on giving him a father, then figured just a mother would do and nixxed the idea. I'll be very surprised if we ever DO end up figuring out who is father is...

My cousins say it's Gary 0.o

Hhhm, perhaps he hates TR, cuz he wants to prove you that he's able to destroy them on his own, so that he's better than you...
Or he wants to avenge to his father.
