Why is Unown under the "one-of" category?

He means in the Pokédex the category Unown is in is One-off. I think because it's kind of a special Pokémon.

Hmmm... maybe the same reason Groudon and Kyogre are not considered One-off Pokemon? (And if you don't believe that, you can either trade one or both of them to FR or LG and search in "ocean" Pokemon or "Plains" Pokemon, or just look at Serebii's pokedex.)

My guess is that you're the only person in the games that can see the Unowns. If you'll notice, none of the NPC's have them... They're special because they come from another dimension or whatnot. Forgive me if that's inaccurate. n_n; It's been years since I've seen the 3rd movie.

Isn't it you have to unlock the Ruins of Alph/Tanoby Ruins to access them?

Maybe since some of the in-game trainers are so dumb, that could be the case.

They would be under there as they're not simply 'catch without remorse pokemon' you have to technically UNLOCK them before you catch them. Akerin is right aswell, the hiker/ruin maniac in front of one of the chamber that it's SAID that there are rares in the chamber, not necesarily if he's seen one n_n

Wow, another mystery. I think it´s because they are Locked, so they are specially rare. And remember that Unown is a Legendary so its normal (I suppose)

In the games, I don´t know but I have heard and readed so much times that it was a Legendary so I started to believe it

Yes, in the games the Unown are locked up and you have to complete a task to be able to catch them.

Yes, they do fall under the category of being Legendary. It's just that they are hard to capture if you want ALL of them. Most of them do appear more common than others. I was in the one ruin and could only find the N Unown. Which is strange, because all of them are unlocked for that ruin...
