Why so much hate about NetBattle?

I mean seriously, I saw like 2 topics about NetBattle today, which were locked for no apparent reason. It seems as though it's like Serebii despises something which was so generously brought to the internet. Yet all you people can do is complain about it and say Link Battles are better?

Well what about people like me who don't know a single person who plays, and has to rely on NetBattle?

I mean, I've played the games for going on 9 years now. And I've played NetBattle for a good 3 years or so. And right now, I have found no real inconsistancies between the two. The Critical Hit ratios are near equal, and so are the damage calculators.

But yeah, why does most of serebii think NetBattle is the devil or something?

I wasn't refering to the owner of the forums, I was speaking of most of Serebii.net's members.

Although it may seem that way, not all of us hate NetBattle. I don't, I just... don't play NB. Serebii hates it, because he can't do it. I guess the topics were locked since they were considered to be SPAM.

There's quite a few people on this forum who do use NetBattle, it's actually quite popular.

Yeah, we don't all worship Serebii you know. We're not all suck-ups.

Well, I was just going on my first impressions of Serebii.net ove the past 2 days. It's as though it's a sin to play it or something...

Anyways, I don't hate NetBattle. I find it quite enjoyable, actually.

jeez, guys its not that all of us "hate" netbattle, no matter what you say it is pretty buggy,

oh and from the snorlax faster than my ninjask, it wasnt paralyzed and it was level 100; same as the snorlax

and what is with the sudden flux of Nsider members coming here to flame Serebii and its members


and yeah some of us CAN battle as opposed to contrary belief

NetBattle is not glitched. Infact, I only know of one glitch, and all it does is say the Sky Attack charging message instead of the Razor Wind one.

I don't hate Netbattle, I didn't even know many people didn't like it here actually. I think it's a pretty good idea, but I stopped playing because it was too hard for me. I do know how to play and everything it but I don't know why, more than half of the guys I battled were actual pros and royally crushed me ;)

Nothing wrong with NetBattle except for several glitches/errors
- Endeavor hitting Ghosts
- Pain Split going through Subs
- Doom Desire's text is the same as Future Sight's
- Razor Wind's chargeup text is the same as Sky Attack's
- Belly Drum's text has maximied instead maximized
- Ice Ball/Rollout getting an extra turn

I personallly like Netbattle; it has it's flaws but it's still better than nothing at all which is what some of us need to live with if we don't have a friend who can link with us. Even if you did they would tend to keep the same team and strategies.
For that reason NB is better than Link Battling. I'm not saying that NB doesn't have it's glitches but it's much easier than Link Battling.

Ever thought that maybe Quick Claw was the culprit? o.0;

I like Net Battle. The problem I find with it is some of the annoying guys on there who see a girl and for some reason have it in their minds that us girls go on a pokemon battling program to, not battle, but meet guys, which is stupid. When you ask them to leave you alone, they come up with the excuse of, "But you're rare!" o.0 A bit scary really.

I've even had some noob challange me and if he won he could get my e-mail address. But like I said, he was as noobish as one could get. He had Earth Quake on Lugia and it didn't even KO my little Jolteon who has nothing but EVS in Speed and Special attack and only 6 in HP! Instead he activated its Petaya Berry and I TB'd the damn thing for the win. Hell no I'm not giving him my E-mail. You meet some weird people on there. God forbid you use a Misty icon, though. I finally changed it because I got so sick of all the "boyfriend" requests from guys I've NEVER EVEN TALKED TO IN MY LIFE! Uhhg.

And don't even get me started on that whole stupid fued between Smogon and TOZ. *Rolls eyes* Gay. But I have met a couple cool people on there who I talk to every time I go on there. One guy I refer to as "The Jask-wak guy," cause that's what he beat me with once. But then he ditched it for a flail-goose, but he made the mistake of telling me, so I was prepared for it and didn't let it Endure. Haha, then I beat him. Good times.

Let's do it!
I use to play netbattle some a year ago, but now I don't. You basically see the same teams over and over... with perfect IVs, natures, everything, so it's just kinda boring to play -_- But I can't wait for DP wifi! Oh, and of course, Pokemon Battle Revolution
