why is sonic the hedgehog just for xbox 360 and ps3 but not for nientendo revalution

Well no one's sure yet, but I'm with ya, I'm getting the Revolution and Sonic is the best franchise ever, second is Pokemon! :D

The reason the game might not be for the Revolution could be either, it's too powerful for it (I hope not :() or, if they revealed that too soon, it might spill some of the Revolution's capabilities!

The problem is with the Revolution right now is that Nintendo doesn't even have any standard developer's kits available for developers. Third party companies, much less Sega, can't really develop anything or even plan their games for the Revolution until the Nintendo ponies up the SDK.

Chances are, the Revolution will get a completely different Sonic game, that utilizes the remote and it's other features. The new 'Sonic the Hedgehog' game will likely always just be for the PS3/360.

There is a number of reasons. Sega unlike what people say here was one of the first ones to see the Revolution or so Sega says. Also Nintendo like they have done every generation likes to keep game anouncements hush hush until Nintendo is ready. Another likely one is they are making something special or different for Nintendo.
