1. as i believe the pokedex says... most of it's body is underground... so all we see is the head.
2. they do actually have winds... u just don't see them.
duduo/trio are based of emus/ostriches which have wings they are just almost always folded down with their body to keep em in place. Although neither of those birds can actually fly anyways.

A question I just thought of is:
If you breed with a ditto wouldnt it mimic to be the same gender as your pokemon. Also with 100% male/female. example If you bred a Tauros with a Ditto wouldnt the ditto have transformed into a male tauros as tauros are male

If the big guys ever were to find out about this there'd be some serious slapping going on.

1) Probably just don't see the parts of there body they cut with.

2) Jump really high so it looks like there flying.

1. I always thought they used their noses.
2. They run in place so fast the air stirred up under them causes them to float.

I thought you were talking about Ditto/Tauros breeding. LOL!

As far as that goes, I think GF flubbed up royally by not making Miltank a female Tauros in terms of breeding mechanics (in a manner similar to the Nidorans and Volbeat/Illumise). We'll probably never know the answer. (I'd be content to call it a mechanics flaw and assume a Ditto transforms into a Miltank to breed with Tauros.)

Hm, well, imo, Diglett and Dugtrio use their mouths, and teeth, if they have any. As for Doduo and Dodrio flying, they technically don't, judging from their Pokédex entry, but in theory, they are birds, so, they can learn Fly. Which is silly, considering a lot of Pokémon WITH wings, don't actually learn Fly. Silly Nintendo .. ¬¬

1 I think ditto has control of hi transformation and just changes the gender but not the species

2 Good point so a bat can't fly but a wingless bird can't nintendo kutgw

Well I agree with Lemono but the thing is wouldn't they just be using bite or something? That is if they have teeth but still? And just like Lemono said pokemon the actually HAVE wings don't really learn the move fly..Also people have also said that most of Diglett's and Dugtrio's body is mostly underground do I think many people have answered you're questions and next plz try and find stuff on Serebii or someplace else and then if you don't get it post here....

Doduo and Dodrio most likely do have wings, and they're hidden by their fluffy feathers. And the whole Fly system doesn't make sense anyways.

They're obviously hidden underground.

Ditto is a master of copying genetics, and I'd assume it'd be able to make the small change from male to female and vice versa. As for the always-the-same-gender, it probably still does the same thing, and creates a male Chansey for example, or transforms into a Pokemon they can breed with but the egg still turns out the same.
