wifi help

On my old DS, I could always go on wifi with all the games. Then, my ds broke. So i bought a new lite. I use a router. It now says no compatible access point. I can use a laptop and psp off of it. What is wrong? It also says that I have to update for a set. It wont let me update. And will my wii work on it or not? Help please

go to http://www.nintendowifi.com/global/index.jsp and chose the tech support tab then chose game support. on the right side u will see a box that says enter "your error code", enter the code and it will tell you what to do
