Wii Delayed till 2007?! (False Rumor)

July 25, 2006 - The fourth quarter of 2006 will herald a new era for Nintendo with the launch of its remarkable new Wii™ home video game system. But that's not what this news item is about! How could that be, you ask? Perhaps the secret to the launch information for Wii is somehow encoded in the text of this news item. I guess we'll find out whether its delayed or not but according to this it looks like it could be. I'll be looking at the other games there releasing anyway, I just hope the Wii isn't delayed >.<

I hope that it hasn't, but if it has, it seems stupid to bring the same game out for 2 different consoles seperatly. Especially when both consoles are from the same company.

Most have used that article to come to the conclusion that the Wii is coming out on October 2nd, so I think the Wii is going to be anything but delayed.

It doesn't say that, it just says that TP will be released sometime in the Fall for GCN, and it's already been confirmed that both versions will be released at the same time, which is another piece of evidence that the Wii will be released on October 2nd.

Where did you hear that? Until now, Nintendo had been keeping the release date of the Wii secret, only mentioning that it would come out during Q4 2006.

I agree, this does not indicate a delay at all, they just are keeping it a surprise.

This is why I think the Wii is delayed...because it is not listed there. Since the Wiis release date could be hidden in the text as a riddle maybe? Considering they said it might be "encoded in the text of this news item."

The reason it's not listed there is because they're only listing upcoming DS games.

It was announced a long time ago slowpoke. Nintendo has already stated that they are going to release it before Thanksgiving in November...duh. Go look at all of the old news stories that we've all known for several months now. Learn to keep up with the times.

They never said it would be released in November, just before Thanksgiving, which is in November.
