Recently I've started to like Wii more than PS3 so I was thinking to get one when they hit the stores.Problem is,that when I saw the controller with the 2 control thingy I was kinda disapointed because I can't play with 2 hands for reasons not to be posted,so I wanted to know if the second control thiny is essential.

On some games such as Mario, Zelda & Red Steel it is essential

On others like Wario Ware, ExciteTrucks and Tony Hawks it isn't

that is the problem, the most appealing Wii game to me at the moment is Mario,I guess I'l be seeing if I can manage using one hand or I'll stick with PS3

I have a friend who has no left hand, I dont know if that's your case but he can play the normal controllers just fine. In fact, he is better at gaming than me. But I can imagine it will be very difficult to play the Wii with one hand. I'm not too sure, but maybe you can just put the 2nd controller on your lap and just play that way? Well, maybe you need to move the nun-chuck thing a lot.

You can't play any games on the PS3 with just one hand. Unless Sony released a new controller that I don't know about. But anyway, the Revolution has games that you can play one handed, but the PS3 doesn't. If I were you, I'd go with the Revolution.

azuril, I have to hand it to you, for someone who cannot play games with two hands, you type really well.

It is possible to play certain Wii games with just one hand. You should research games before you buy them, if you plan on getting a Wii.

but the PS3 controller can be used with one hand(as far as I know),maybe you're confused with the controller of PS2?In that case I can still play with one hand,I have my way.

you know, the Wii's controller can go both left or right. So unlike the other controls, which limited anolog (sp) on the left and all the buttons on the right. Wii's controller will actually let you play with your left hand. That means, you can attempt putting the nun-chuck (sp) on your right lap and move that (my friend does it, so it's not impossible) while you can slice, press, and aim with the controller on your left hand.

Crazy I know, but hey better crazy than impossible like the PS3

with tennis you use the Dpad to move not the nunchuck, only one hand needed, most of the Wii sports only one hand needed

Actually, in Wii Sports, you don't move, all the moving is done for you and you simply swing the Wiimote. Depend on how hard, direction, spin etc you put on the ball detemines where it goes.
