Wii or playstation 3?

Playstation 3.

No hope.....
Wii all the way! Who would pay $500 for a system? If you can recall to the early 90s, SNK released the Neo-Geo for $600, and games were $250 apiece. No one bought it, cause no one could afford it. If PS3 games are somewhere in the area of 60-80 dollars (this is just my prediction, not the actual cost), then it will fail because it will be too expensive to buy. Not to mention, Nintendo has been paving the way for innovation for 25 years, while all Sony does is rerelease the same crap again and again under different names.

People will probably say PS3 is the best because it has "Teh Best Graphics". That's bull. If graphics made the game, then videogames wouldn't exist at all, since in the early years, graphics were blocky, and one-dimensional.

So if you want to waste your hard earned money on the PS3, go ahead, but when your ready to experience true gaming innovation, step into the light, and experience the Nintendo Wii.

The Wii offers more oportunities.

However, I am tired of people thinking that Wii will somehow revolutionize the industry. It's just a gimmick. A good gimmick, but a gimmick nonetheless.

I will get Wii (thanks to GameStop for reserving it for me) on its Launch Day.

I'll wait for PS3's price to go down (the reason I want PS3 also is because of Sonic the Hedgehog).

I'm getting a Wii since it has new, intuitive and fun things to offer, combining real life with mega hard core gaming, not to mention the other 2 systems are like: PS2 2 and New XBox. XD

Wii for sure. It has games that i will play, has things that i will use, goes online, has a unique use of the controller. Many people can use it. Isnt very expensive. And best of all, backwards compatible physical and virtually.

PS3. Im so sorry, but unfortunately, Sony might have finally lost. Great graphics and mediocre games that are either sequels or another game of the same "bloody" genre. The fact that it has a massive hard drive and a brand new way of reading discs is great, but the price is just other the top. Well, the controller doesnt improve it much, but adds a bit of differenciation.

Sony, stick with what youre good with. Leave the combat and sports to the XBox 360 and let Nintendo handle everything else. You had your time. Sure we enjoyed it somewhat, but i think it's time you moved on.

Wii, I do want the other two, and will most likely get a 360, but PS3.. looks fugly, is huge, will get a cruddy remold like the ps2, is expensive and none of the games look too good to me.

*pokes at Sony's CEO(don't wanna mention names), "If it weren't for Hideo, and his megacreation known as MGS 4, you could cry at your corner. So, thank my man, and b greatful to him. TRULY."* After my friendly monologue, i say:" Metal Gear I will follow you EVERYWHERE!" *buys PS3, like an overspending mazochist*

Who can say?
Wii, for the games...
I doubt I'll get a PS3 because of the price, and to be honest it's only the Square Enix games (Final Fantasy XIII etc.) on it that interest me, they are the only games I play on my PS2...

hi 5

Can you see it?
I already got a DS so I'm going with the PS3.I have to go though I need to sell shrimp from a van so I can pay for it.

Sony has confirmed that the starting price for all its games will be sixty USD, with some possibly going up as high as one hundred USD. With prices like that, I don't see it going far.

How can you compare the DS to the Wii? They're two entirely different systems! The two systems have absolutely nothing in commen, so I don't know how you can compare them.

They're way too different (both in specs and purpose) to be put side by side like this. All three of the new consoles are what they are. PS3 is a very serious thing, while wii is geared toward non and casual gamers. I do believe that wii has potential to play serious games, just as ps3 has the pootential to get just plain fun games (like katamari!), I just don't think either of them will for the first two years at least. The ps3's price is a bit high, though. 600?...

How the hell was that being "smug"? He was making a joke about a shrimp truck and I said it wasn't that expensive, don't twisting my words.
