There's always a way around region coding, if you are willing to void the warranty on your console. The main reason why there's region coding with consoles is because there are different standards for TVs and different wall plugs for adapters that use different amounts of electricity in different countries.....and yes, I know I just said "different" too much. =P

This is true for NTSC vs. PAL, but Japan and North America both use NTSC--it's identical. Region locking has more to do with an obsolete territorial business model. Companies want to sell the rights to distribute their products in other regions to local franchises for big bucks. This model is obsolete thanks to the ease (and legality, thank God) of importing goods overseas. Unfortunately, companies like to cling to such archaic models until they can no longer, so we have to put up.
From what I've heard, official Nintendo games for the Wii will be region-free, so we should be able to import PBR no prob. (Support for English Pokémon games is another question.)

Thats cool to me because Then people wont have to complain about how they cant fet the jap version to work on the american version. Now they willl know that they need a jap wii to play the jap game.
