Wild baby pokemon

Does anyone think baby pokemon should be catchable in this game? I think they should, but be rare in the route and flee if you hurt them into the yellow part of the health bar (they can't flee if they are put to sleep).;175; ;172;

Of course, maybe the Azurill will be like the Wynaut on Mirage Island!

Probably rarely. Like, only in areas where you can find the parent pokemon. =/

I was thinking that maybe they could be found in areas the parent pokemon could not. That way, you wouldn't have to wait until later in the game to find a pokemon like jynx. Also, you would be able to use pokeballs that make them more friendly...;munchlax;

I don't know........
I don't think you can encounter baby Pokemon. In every game so far, we know that we need to hatch eggs in order to get a baby Pokemon.

This has never happened and probably never will (with the exception of Mirage Island). Babies are only suppossed to be accesible by breeding.

Uh I see this happening though, because they gave some of the breeding items (sea incense and lax incense) late in the ruby and sapphire game, and why would you breed if you already have the evolution of it, the only reasons are to complete your dex or you really like the baby. So I think they will have some pokemon in the wild.

I want to say to some of the posts above, you can't say in that game it was that way, so it is that way in this game, because games are different.

Otherwise I can say , gold and silver was the first game with baby pokemon, so there were to less babies to make them wild, in ruby and sapphire whynaut was wild, so we can expect more wild baby pokemon in this game (because it is an increasing line).

both parts are just not good arguments

Well that takes all the fun from breeding, then. Baby Pokemon are supposed to be special in a way you can only get them by hatching. If you make them appear in the wild, then they'll be like the others, and what fun's that gonna be? Unless you mean those super-rare occasions, like Mirage Island, but not all of them appearing like regular rare Pokemon in a place. Keep the special feeling when you hatch them, because it's cuter and more happier.

That defests the point of breeding, well, part of it. To get baby PKMN you have to breed, I don't agree with catching them in the wild. That makes it too easy.

WHERE IS PIDGEOT?!
there wouldnt be any point in them being called "baby pokemon". well, wat i mean is, they shouldnt be obtainable through wild catch.

A duel well fought..
Baby pokemon should NOT be wild. They are possed to be hatched because they are BABY pokemon and babies are possed to be token care of. The wynauts could be found wild because they were the only ones on the islands. Just one thing I don't get, if there was nothin but wynuats on the islands then how were they born? There has to be wobbas to be wynuats...don't there?

No because they'd probably flee a lot or something else equally stupid and gimmicky.

Something like that.
And for reasons already mentioned, it's unlikely they'll ever appear in the wild.

If the rarity of baby pokemon in the wild is kept similar to Wynaut, then I don't see Wynaut *shot*.

Mirage Island is the only place you've ever been able to catch wild baby pokemon before, and how hard is it to get there? VERY. The terms 'wild' and 'baby' don't even seem to go together very well. Baby pokemon suddenly aren't very special if you can catch them in the wild. They're called baby pokemon because, with Wynaut being a VERY special exception, they're only obtained through breeding.

Also note that the only pokemon on Mirage Island is Wynaut. Thats the only place you can find it, its the only thing there, and if you manage to get to Mirage Island then congratulations cause thats no easy feat. I've yet to even see the place. Its like a mirage. *shot again*

I think you actually have a better chance at getting a shiny than getting to Mirage Island, but don't quote me on that. If thats the case though, that makes the only wild baby pokemon rarer than a shiny.

Pokemon like elekid, smoochum, magby, and any other "baby pokemon" that evolve at level 30 I'd want to catch in the wild. I feel that reinforces the point that their evolutions are more second stage, which I think they are supposed to be.
