Will D/P make or break the franchise?

No. I put that at the end of any post I try to submit if it's below the character limit, but I feel is justified, such as when the whole point is to remind someone about the contents of a certain quote.

For me, at least, it'll make the series. Why? Because, us Serebiinetters will finally be able to meet and battle each other in a Pokémon game via wifi. And that would be amazing. ^^

Oh, and I rather like the new high-quality sprites, as well as the characters. The scarves rock. XD

Well, DP "must" have many developments and new things in it to be able to bring it to success in sales. It's up to nintendo to do that job...And I guess they'll be able to push through DP's innovations. Pokemon Fans are deserving to receive great RPG's specially if they'll just buy the DS for DP. Otherwise, if DP is not enough to have the urge to buy it, it may not soar high in sales like the GSC. It'll be a waste of money....But DIe hard pokemon Fans are really decided to buy all these and all that. Who knows, if DP can push through or even be greater than GSC, Pokefans might be multiplied eh?

I know that quite a few people will get turned back onto Pokemon because of Wifi. Pokemon played as a single player game gets boring and frustrating pretty quick, because if you have no one to battle or trade against, raising a team to level 100 and breeding just seem like empty activities. Not to mention the fact that it is literally impossible to fill the Pokedex that way.

I know I for one will thoroughly enjoy this next generation even if it was just RSE/FrLg with updated graphics and wifi. Not to mention the fact that there'd be new Pokemon, new moves, new areas to explore and a whole new storyline. I think that the inclusion of wifi is even more important than the return of the day/night feature and the catching of event Pokemon.

I, and a few people I know, bought a DS simply in anticipation of D/P. I've been rather dissapointed with DS titles and realise that D/P may be the only one I can actually play for longer than an hour a day. That is to say, of course, that it is actually a good game. If it isn't then, I don't know what I'll do.

But add in the fact that Australia is about 2-3 months behind the U.S. so we get every game later.

And I live in New Zealand, which is about 1.5 months behind Australia, so we get ours 5 and a half months late.

I'm only worried about the touch screen. I don't want to have to be poking my DS with some stupid little stick all the time. It's awkward and a waste of game developers' time, money and effort.

it isn't stupid...it's really fun! i thought it was weird before but now i'm so used to it that it seems second nature, almost like pressing the a button.

My school is split into two divisions: Pokémon Fans and Anti-Pokémon.
The people that already go against it will probably not care or hate it more, while the ones that like it will like it more than they already do. In my point of view, I like it and I don't think that it will die. But the fact that it comes out on the Nintendo DS can make it harder, since those things cost a lot, but then again, you can always download the thing.
