uh yeah roy can use that and ash can just use a z-move as a replacement
Unless Ho-OH or the original Mewtwo crossed paths within the Horizon story, I couldn't imagine a rational reason for Ash to meet the RVT if it serves no purpose to progressing Ash's goal.
Ash may have defeated the current strongest world champion (Leon), but he's never defeated or befriended one of the strongest pokemon (original Mewtwo) featured in the main story of the anime.
I'd imagine that if Ash were to appear or cross paths with Liko and Roy, the event would need to coincide with his pledged goal of becoming a Pokemon Master.

If Ash shows up or doesn't show up, this thread can get locked in both situations. We won't have much thing to discuss if Ash shows up also.

I know people write this thread for potential return of Ash. Moreover different topic that is related to Ash's return like returning, mentioning or cameos of other previuos characters are discussed here. Because they wanted to seperate Ash's return from other events and speculate in a special thread. However the thread was for very restricted possibility. It was for a possible meeting of Ash and Liko when she turns back from Indigo Academy to Paldea in the beginning of the story. It didn't happen.
Maybe we need a thread like "Ash's possible return to anime."

Will Damian, the Gen 50 protagonist cross paths with Ash even though he's in an alternate universe and they've long since fully retired Ash in any form for good meaning it's now basically impossible for Damian to meet him?

I really doubt he’s gonna come back now that we are beginning the climax lol, even if we get another arc it’ll mostly be an epilogue arc so I doubt we’ll get him.

I truly think the pokemon anime series is giving him (Ash Ketchum) a 10 year hiatus before returning him to the franchise again.
My guess he returns in either the year 2029 , possibly 2030, or 2033. The 10 year anniversary of Pokemon Journey's (2019) preimer or after the ending of "Aim to be a Pokemon Master (2023).

In my opinion, Ash's guest appearance is a real risk. I worry that some people will get the false hope that the creators intend to bring him back permanently at some point.

Crazy that Ash revealing what the ******* a Pokemon Master was turned all the canon episodes into filler and the filler into canon episodes.
(yeah see he never befriended his friends' pokemon so they don't count, so they were all filler too)
