No it won't end, despite the number of natural disasters already happening.

They've been predicting world ends since I-don't-know-when, but all those predictions were nothing. Just live the world as usual, or try to fix it. Who knows, it might survive longer.

Let's think about this...

Martin Luther in the 1500's, he predicted that some ******** thing would happen that Jesus will come from the sky and everyone would float up into the air. Then a 7 Headed crown dragon would attack the earth. Did it happen? No.

1999, computers don't date to January 1st 2000. Some other ******** thing would happen and it will be a holocaust for no apparent reason, other than that computers will malfunction and fire missles freaking everywhere. And it would happen at midnight on January 1st 2000. Did it happen? No.

Some random cult's calandar does not go past December 21st 2012. The world will end supposedly. There is no evidence to back this up. Apparently there will be tsunamis, hurricanes, volcanoes errupting everywhere and the most unlogical one, terroism all over the world. Question, are all terroist groups just going to get together in the last few days of 2012 and just bomb the world for no reason? No. Will this happen? Hell no.

I rest my case.

I'm going to laugh at everybody who believed this nonsense on 12/22/09.

Also, Nostradomas (or however the hell you spell his name) "predictions" were too broad to be considered truthful, imo.

But hey, if you want to be a pessimistic fool who'll believe that the world will end at a certain date because you think primitive humans can predict the apocalypse, knock yourselves out.

Hell no.First of all, Mayans are not some random cult, secondly, it is quite obvious that you (and most people in this thread) don't know from where the heck did this theory come from

I rest my case.

The Mayan Calendar is divided in cycles, every cycle has it's own apocalyptic day, this is just another one of those.

Actually you can travel to the future at faster-than-regular-time speeds by just accelerating, as proven by an atomic clock on air force one being a fraction of a second of from that of one in a submarine, Einstein's famous theory about near-light travel, etc... We just can't really do that to a degree in which it would matter.

when will the world end?

life on earth will end when the sun loses its nuclear fuel and inflames into a red giant star frying the earth to a crisp.

Nostradamus predicted a cure for AIDS in 2008 and that didnt happen.

He also predicted some huge catastrophic earthquake with richter scale above 10 in Japan, possibly killing Satoshi Tajiri, sometime in end of September 2008. Nothing.

Why bump this? There is no debate, not one person has come here and said that the world will end.

Like many people have said, the Mayan calender goes in cycles, the current one ends on Dec, 21, 2012. People, it's a coincidence.

That link holds a list of 220 predictions of dates that the world will end. Yes, 220. Starting in the year 44 and going all the way to 2047. Why should 1 of those predictions be right while the other 219 are wrong? IF THESE END OF THE WORLD PREDICTIONS CAME TRUE, THE WORLD WOULD'VE ENDED 2000 YEARS AGO.

About time someone made a list. And 2012 is going to be on that list soon, too.
