IT BEGINS!
~~~~~
"Casey Thomson, Head Scientist" The badge read, glistening in the morning light. Casey was about to head out of her room to begin training the fighters that had been gathered, but a voice spoke to her again as she opened the door: "Break them free. Stop holding them down..."
Why did that voice come yet again? Casey shook her head and shut the door behind her. She entered the training room and surveyed the mutated there. The others would give their orders for training and later today they would go to fight. "Wonder where Stevensten got off to... we'll need him too..." she muttered under her breath as she stepped into the room.
~~~
Kraken sat upon the waterfall, the very same waterfall, where she had found Suicune. She stared out to the south, knowing she was to leave soon for her share in the battle. She wanted to see to it that there was no more of this... and of course, also to find Belle and Venom. They were alone... who knows what Rathune would do to them.
Kraken sighed, deep in thought. She wanted to go now. As if to fulfill her wish, Suicune appeared behind her. Kraken saw this, however, and spoke to her. "Suicune, when is it my time? I am ready."
The wolfish Pokémon stepped forth and said, "It is time, if you are prepared as you say you are. But you will need a weapon." She spoke expectantly, seeming to know Kraken's answer.
"Then give one to me." Suicune had brought something for her, as well. Everyone needed a way to fight, and though Kraken had some power over the pure water from her training, there would be a need for something else.
A staff with a jagged blade on one end and a sacred water orb at the other was brought out by a Sceptile. "This," Suicune said as the Sceptile gave the blade to Kraken, "Is for you. You have always been good with staffs." Kraken fingered the edge.
Kraken smiled, a rare sight at this point. "Thank you, Suicune. I will use it."
Suicune just smiled back and said, "How about one last night before you leave? I think that you should need the rest."
"Yes... that sounds good. Let us rest for the night." As the three--Suicune, Kraken, and the Sceptile--walked off, Kraken took one look back southward. Her thoughts were simple for once, and she said only a simple thing to herself: "I can only hope."
