Windows Live Messenger help

Yesterday, I was using Windows Live Messenger and it worked perfectly. Then today, it takes me about 5 minutes to sign in while yesterday only took a few seconds to sign in to Windows Live Messenger. What's suppose to be the problem and how do I fix it?

Yes, I am able to sign in, but I have to wait 5 minutes.
