I searched but I didn't find anything so I hope this isn't a repeat.
Anyways, one of my favorite anime is Witch Hunter Robin. If I'm not mistaken, it was first shown on [adult swim] on February 16th of 2004 so it's been over two years since its first run. It was given another chance several months after its initial run but was pulled several episodes in. A little later, [AS] tried again but pulled it again. They gave it its final run sometime last year as they recently lost the rights to it.
It was announced on January 20th of 2004 that a live action version would be made for Sci-Fi. Three particular men's names were attatched to it-- Joe Menosky, Roy Lee, and Doug Davison. Since the announcement, its gone into an "in development" status and has stayed there for two years. It was even thought, at one point, to have been dropped. However, I'm happy to say that another report just came out on June 1st of this year stating that it's still in development. Still iffy but better than dropped.
Unfortunately, its English site is gone. It hadn't been updated for quite a while but it was nice to have. Whoever was in charge of keeping it going decided not to renew it so it was replaced with a gift directory.
I'd rather enjoy getting a discussion going with other fans if there are any here.
